In my case, Sir Capon not only lay well outside the known boundaries of the KCD Bohemia map, but apparently outside my real life Milky Way galaxy as well…
You really must’ve done something to piss him off
He left him in the forest after the hunt.
Is that even an option? I’d love to try
Who knows, i’ve never did try. Only thing i did, is that to come on the hunt with a horse.
Not really. Hal has convinced me he was hanging out on #ImASpoiledNobleAsshat, his home planet.
So in quintessentially arrogant and derisive Capon fashion, our highborn Lord completely forgot to show up as the star of his own show.
Thereby missing out on that once in a lifetime opportunity to impress the KCD fan base—as the knight in shining armor—when things were going to shit on that miserable 3rd rock from the sun in peasant infested Talberg
Nothing says impress like getting shot in the ass by an arrow while trying to be a medieval ninja
Guys, can you help me out again?
Rocketeer quest, there’s no assassin showing up… What should I do? Because engineery guy is still freaking out…
And, with the Siege quest, Herbalist Kunhuta isn’t moving her ass to brew the potions for me, quest says I should wait, but I’ve been waiting for hours, and she’s still sitting on her bench sipping from her mug.
Another day in Bughemia
Go to the nearest inn. Go up the stairs and pick the lock of the first door. He’ll be sleeping there, kill him. And you gotta wait for a whole day or two for the potion I guess. You’ll get the notification when it’s ready
You mean the guy with the colorful clothes? Peychar or something?
Yes that’s the one
Ah thanks!
I’m also at this quest now and I have the same problem - but I read somewhere on the forums that you should hide in the barn right side of the door and postpone the time to 0:00, he should be there… If not, increment the hours by 1, he should appear - I’m going to try this when I get home
Don’t bother waiting and hiding. Killing him in the inn is the easiest and bother free.
Are you sure there’s no other option than killing him? I mean I love killing in this game… Maybe he could have something for me. I’ll see
Try the talk option then. I personally let my dagger do the talking most of the time
This quest isn’t “bugged”, it’s thrown into the game unfinished without ever thinking about it again, just like the wildlife AI (animals not reacting when being shot at). In my case, I found Hans under the pile of corpses I had created during the fight. Until I had moved these bodies out of the way, Hans had bled out. You start the quest with light armour for the stealth effect and suddenly are thrown in a fight against heavily armed enemies while not being able to switch to heavy armour yourself as long as you are in combat. I thought the monastery quest was the most annoying, but this one really wins the cake. Now the Scribe in Sassau doesn’t complete the forgery. The further one advances into the story, the more unfinished the game looks.
After playing this quest for more than 1 hour I more or less managed to understand what is causing the bug and how to avoid it, also some tips on how to kill the bandits faster.
First of all make a save before taking to the captives as I found that working better and not bugging hans capon as many times,
secondly after talking to the captives you have to make sure that the patrol guy that is outside and comes near the house of the captives is not close to you or else it seems he sounds the alarm while you are talking with capon about that to do and that seems to trigger a lot of bugs, ( hans is standing still and you cant carry him , he is not even there or you find your self already in the middle of many bandits .
after the encounter begins and you see hans capon in front of you and in the ground ( if you dont and he is missing or standing still reload the save ) then stand inside the room where you used to sleep during the beggining of the game and kill everyone one by one as they try to enter inside .
after no more bandits are entering the room go out carry hans capon and dont stop until you reach the stairs that you used to climb the wall , once next to the wall the quest will be completed.
It worked for me , hope it saves you some time and frustrating over this quest.
For me, Capon is just standing and can’t be interacted.
The hell with this, really, I’ll just fail the quest and that’s all.
Even though the game is great, it’s incredibly frustrating with all the bugs and glitches.
It needs serious polishing and maybe it really shouldn’t have come out yet…
Again with these bloody glitches this game made me start again from 40 hours of play and I’m finally past the bit were it previously stopped me and now this quest Hans is just standing there I can’t carry him again and again glitch after glitch ahhh this game pisses me off
