No front line?

Just no. In general. And I talk about this pattern:

Kingdom Come: Deliverance is still a game. With game mechanics. It isn´t the Matrix in 1403.
I mean, sure, you can talk about this topics and your wishes, you are free to do so. But please don´t wonder if people get confused by your posts and oppose your ideas.

But fire arrows weren’t used in battles. They get quickly blown out.

Even if they weren’t… It’s too late to change things. Wait for modders. We’ve on russian YT a one historian guy, who talking right things about, y’know, about what, but it’s still a game. It’s not simulator, it’s not a matrix, it’s not IRL experience. Just enjoy the game in setting. I guess, WH knows things, that they wanted to make and etc. , but they was needed to compromise. It’s still a “GAME”. They promised a lot, but they didn’t know, that things would be that complicated. All the people, who wanted to understand, they did.

P.S Why the heck i wrote this?

Ok, but it’s a valid point. Other people point out things in the game that aren’t historical and get praised. I get backlash.

I know all those things, i know that they’re right and people aren’t stupid and they know as well, but… It’s still a game. Compromised on development. They weren’t able to make medieval faces, they weren’t able to make the medieval language and how people talked, but they did lots of other cool things. I’ve just closed my eyes on these things. They’re not that important, cus it’s just a game. We can talk about it after release and lots of years, but does it cost the time? The game is almost released. Just let it be. :slightly_smiling_face:

As long as he doesn’t make a bridge and troll joke I’m happy:joy::joy::joy:

No praise for you though! We are all sold out of praise.

sold out of praise :joy::joy::joy:

There’s a difference between pointing out small details and basically asking for the entire combat system to be redone (obvious hyperbole included, just pointing this out to avoid unnecessary white knights again). One of those is an unrealistic pipe dream.
As far as fire arrow thread goes, they weren’t in the beta, we do not know what context they are going to be presented in game (if at all), so going on about how fire arrows shouldn’t be in game over some old trailer feels like jumping the gun over something that may or may not be an issue.

you couldnt be more right.
the vast majority of armies of the time and area were well known to fight in the famed Testudo formation

its a shame warhorse has not implemented this

Not necessarily
The testudo was a distinctly roman formation what with the scuta and shields raised above each other
I think you mean shield wall in which case many, and i mean MANY different civilisations used them

no , i certainly mean the testudo it was extensively used in this period.

They were sacking a town. They burned it to the ground.

My knowledge from youtube is challenging your knowledge from youtube!

He even says the arrow flies only 110 yards. Plus, even if it arrives, what damage would it do against soldiers?
As I said, they weren’t used in battles for these reasons.
