where can I see the patched files?
Nowhere, there is a trick to see patched files.
But you need to rename the installed game folder and creating a new one with original game folder name. Steam will download and paste them into the folder with original name.
But if steam is downloading, you can see the files in,
C:\Program Files (x86)\VALVe\Steam\steamapps\downloading\379430
hm ok, I guess steam just downloaded something extra for you that I probably already have
Believe me, i noticed such differences between users many years before.
I dont know what steam is doing in that situation ans what it did before.
Don’t know for you, but since the 1.3.4 i lose 5 to 10 FPS…do other meet the same issue ?
Cant say nothing about loseing fps because i cant play on full resolution…
or better, i can but i will not doing. Playing with every on High except Post Processing (low), Shadows (medium) and Shaders (low), 1440x900 around 48-55 fps
I know him for fame but no, I’m not him, still I know WoG community from very close as I partecipated at some translation project for Gothic Italia and WoG community.
Can confirm fast and normal travel encounters are working as intended. The shaking bug is pretty bad atm, almost made me lose my lunch.
@DrFusselpulli, @TobiTobsen
You can tell us something about that size differences?
We have now three sizes for the patch,
Brilliant.
Thanks for relevant posts
Primary post updated with size (38MB eng/aus)
Testing now… .
If you have an Nvidia gpu, disable ansel and it should get you back to your pre patch FPS.
Where it can be disabled?
c/progam files/NVidia corporation/ansel/tools
launch NVcameraConfiguration. At the bottom you see ansel status. Disable and save.
Hexxem, I realize that 1.4 will fix the screen shaking being caused by the ground storing up items…do you know if it’s safe to assume that those items will be deleted or replaced in the 1.4 patch?
Seems silly to start over now, which I did however tonight, just to have to restart the game again with 1.4.
I’m just a little nervous that the 1.3.4 bug will not get rid of the potential screen shaking after 1.4.
I’m asking you because you’re very active and I enjoy reading how thoughtful and informative your posts are.
Do you think a 1.3.4 save will be safe to play post 1.4 release?
That’s beyond my capabilities. I would assume it’d be ok, but maybe someone more knowledgeable on the subject could chime in and give you a better answer.
In his reddit post it seems the problem is caused by the physics, haven’t had a chance to play around with those settings yet. Got a headache from the screen shaking and had to turn the game off.
More like insulting and angry. but thank you for the kind words.
Thanks Hexxem. It’s kind of a confusing bug. Not sure the logistics of it. Thanks for the response.
