At least you’re looking through the character’s eyes and that’s way more realistic than 3rd person view.

No I think you dont see it. Its still going to be as first person as the first approach! You’re going to be able to play the whole game without even thinking about third person.
And others will have much fun riding around or looking at their character in third person mode.
And its not going to change drastically like some fear. They dont have to remap everything, you wont be able to go to third person when entering buildings for example.
Its just a nice little feature that many people request. Some like to have more than one option to view a game you know?

And that’s a fact! KCD was at my pledge not like the other shitstorm games from asses like Ubisoft or RG

Game I pledge did not have in-game illustrated codex… Bbut I managed to get over it

Right or by your opinion? See? Whyt is violation for one isnt issue for other. Im still not convicted that 3rd changes anything. If you dont want to, use only 1st view. Where is the problem?

They denied 3rd person and now they throw it over board, you know, just because the masses demanding it.
Given that, it’s only a matter of time till they will announce multiplayer, which was denied also at first, but hey, the masses demand it.

i cant really see the problem here. as for games from the elder scrolls series, where you allways had the possibility to switch to 3rd person view, its just a feature, to see what your char looks like, while riding a horse or strolling around. The game allways was intended to be played in first person, and usually you will do so because its more delightful. If you dont like it, just dont use it. As simple as that. If its not a big thing to implement, just do it.

I think there will no change in combat and combat mechanics at all, just how you look at it will be different. Although I may stick with fpv in combat

dont be ridiculous. as daniel said, it would be up to you wether or not your using 3rd person view. Its just an option.

Yes, I am OK with an option for a 3rd person camera, as long as the game mechanics is fine-tuned for the 1st person view. I will play in 1st person. Only you as the developer know how much effort it will take, and if it’s worth it. It’s good for screenshots…

That’s the thing. It is a big thing to develop if you’re going to be able to fight in it. But if they only make it for horse and cruising it is not. I think this is why people don’t want it. Because it’s going to take a lot of work. Work that could be used elsewhere.
Correct me if I’m wrong. But this is how I feel about it. Make it only for horse and walking around the world. Not for combat and all the other activities and stuff.
