I’m wondering, why they didn’t add ad banners on these forums and even on their websites?
Don’t get me wrong, it’s more user-friendly without ads everywhere, but they could earn some extra cash.
Let it be noted in the annals of internet history: this may be the first time I have ever seen someone ask why banner ads aren’t being used somewhere.

On a more serious note, I think they’ll be fine with what we’ve donated and what others will add in once payment options are up on their own site. A lot of people just block ads anyway.
People who are using Adblock should be paying for the internet…I’d rather look on some advertisement, then pay for using internet.
I don’t know about you, but sadly my ISP doesn’t say: "Oh look, he doesn’t use adblock, let’s give him internet access for free!"
If that were the case, I’d gladly look at any amount of banner ads absolutely everywhere.

Why should I pay for free internet and why should I have to suffer prime product placement just to see this free internet.
I agree with you to some point.
90% of all internet ads are either complete bullshit content wise, design wise or their form of ad is just totally user unfriendly(sticky-ads i look at you).
Most youtube and google specific ads being the other 10% where you actually get to see something that could interest you.

I wouldn’t mind if they monetized here by using Google Adwords, since I don’t think they are annoying in comparison to other adverts.
I use adblocker, and I am paying for my internet connection, not to see stupid adverts that doesn’t relate to me at all.
I’m not sure what you’re saying here. I pay for my internet, and I’ve also paid to back this project. If you have free internet, I’d like to know where and how you get online.

You don’t have to pay for certain websites, because they are getting money from advertisement, that’s how I’ve meaned it
The only websites I pay anything for are the ones I have a specific subscription to, and I can probably count those on one hand that’s missing a few fingers.

Would be the first serious company on planet Earth which offered third party ads on their own ad page. Yeah, this is already an ad page. It’s purpose is to do marketing and PR for Warhorse.
I think you miss the difference between a company which offers free content on the net and have to earn money with third party ads and a company which sells something and therefore its website is just an ad in its own…

A lot of people use adblock plus these days. A lot of forums suffer from lack of income and ask users to disable ad blocking software. I use it all the time + antivirus + malarebytes as ads can bring adware. Actually I got one - http://pcspywareshield.com/guides/glass-bottle-ads/
It slipped through my AVAST. I think because it is not actually a virus and AVAST did not flag it. To be safer, one should be armed to the teeth.
