When did you ‘change’ your argument? Because the game is not ‘difficult’ to begin with and if anything gets too easy during mid-late game.
You have been arguing for an ‘Easy Mode’ that is not needed and ‘Training’ that is already implemented. What is your argument exactly then?
Easy mode is for $$$. Got it?
Training doesn’t flow as well as it could. Got it?
If they were worried about $$$ they could’ve made a shitty RPG where everyone was overpowered from the start and be done with it. They didn’t.
That’s because they were more worried about the ‘player experience’. That is also why I backed the game and so did many others. Implementing an ‘easy mode’ for $$$ would be a betrayal of that trust and finacial backing that we gave them.
Training flows fine, you go to Vanyek get a quick lesson (enough to beat a few bandist on the way back to Skalitz), Complete some of the main quest, go to Bernard. Learn some advanced techniques. Doesn’t make you good straight away you have to practice with him for many minutes (not weeks as in real life). Then you get good.
Take on some of the bandit quests to practice, don’t take them all on at once that is suicidal.
Keep practicing with Bernard when you have some free time, get much better.
Go out and kill it.
Seems fine to me.
It’s not about worrying about money. It’s about making relatively small changes that can widen KCD’s marketability and increase WH’s revenue
That’s your opinion. Your reading comprehension is poor. I already said to you I attacked bandit and Cuman (as well as traders and guards during oops moments) at battle spawn points before I even met Bernard. It’s not about me or you. It’s about Yettyen and others who could benefit from a different approach
What you want is:
Go train once with master = I am now a master of the Sword/Longsword/mace/Spear/Defence/Block in other words a god of the arena. That’s not how this game works, it tries to simulate realism and in reality you would need Instruction then LOTS of practice for all those skills. Hell, you need to be instructed just to learn to read in this game, then you need to practice.
Well ask yourself this, why would you, barely trained, attack a cumin? A Cumin who is a veteran of many wars and has decades of fighting experience compared to your lousy 20 minutes with Vanyek and expect to win?
You would have to be out of your tiny mind (or at least Henry would)!!!
Of course you’re going to get dead…
Not only are you poor at reading comprehension, you’re miserable at guessing what people want. Never said any such thing and you’re disengenious or asinine for saying so
Simulating realism would be to provide a quick lesson in conflict philosophy, demonstrate a technique and then practice it. Since Henry had a lesson the day before, repeating it. And then, trying a new one would be a reasonable approach for a master to take. That way, Henry could actually learn a useful combat technique/strategy before Bernard.
Actually that seems to be precicely what you require. A 10-20 minute lesson, even with a ‘master’, will not make you a great fighter. Go to any boxing or martial arts gym to find that out.
So why would henry be equiped to fight Cumens after his, quick, lesson with Vanyek? I don’t know.
Vanyek is only a instructing you on the basics, you get the rest through the story and training with Bernard, who can teach you master strokes, ripostes, blocking etc.
Easy mode would take all that away and leave you with Player Chars that were Overpowered by a significant margin in the Early-Mid game. The Mid-Late Game is too easy already.
I don’t know the issue with this, english is not my first language, what is so hard to get from this?
In real life you can see what is next to you, even without directly looking at it. Not with the monitor, you only get to see what’s infront of you.
You as player are already limited in so many aspects.
The game has so much to offer, the love for history and people, the only thing that spoils the fun is, when you can’t even escape fast enough, because some bandits club your had into a puddle, while surrounding you.
Edit: really that sound is on point! It hurts so much when I hear this >.<
You usually only attack bandits when you alreay have a horse (Pebbles). Run, call your horse, mount and gallop away… That has saved me many times.
Never said so. Developing some skills is different than having no skill or having all skills
You didn’t pick up on maintenance skill development either. Henry sharpen this sword. Henry use the kit to repair this. Some skills. Not none. Not all.
I did try that, I whistle, my horse comes, the bandits chasing me. I can’t get on fast enough, run further, whistle, run back to horse, again clubbing my head. The screen turns red it’s in the middle of the night, I can’t see a thing, if then my stamina runs out…I’m done for u.u
Olena is available from Run
Unless you’re good, I’d never explore at night. Horse or no horse
You start off with no skills, you have to use them to get good at them, you use a grindstone or kit (armorer, blacksmiths, taylor or cobbler) you gain xp in it.
Same with weapons, you use your sword (in training or combat) you get better at it.
It’s a scripted, event… If I have to say more it just gets sad.
Not any more. as of 1.4.3 after homecoming and you wake up in Ratty mill Teresa informs you that your sword and horse were stolen. Even if you left her in Talmberg and walk all the way.
No more running to the quarry to get her.
You don’t really have a choice when you get ambushed, can’t avoid it and on top of it, look at your horses back instead ahead of the road on default.
That means, the horse runs a funny circle and the bandits get you in a matter of seconds ^^;
That’s not normal, check your settings.
Don’t listen to him, take off your armor and make sure your noise and visibility are as low as possible then sneak around and scout. don’t take on necesseraly but if you can get close behind an enemy, knock him out, carry the body away then kill him.
I mean those red and blue overlays from blood and exhaust(tion?)
I figured that too, last time I got a bit too cocky and paid for it ^^;
WH could’ve front loaded more sword XP and maintenance XP to make it seem less disjointed or half baked.
Don’t go out on roads at night. Then, you won’t get ambushed at night
