No they don’t. Name calling and insults ALONE stifle conversation. But I’ve accompanied every insult with a bunch of good points. If someone is being as frustratingly stubborn and seemingly developmentally challenged as longshot here, I won’t hold back.
in that case, longshot isnt the only one stubborn as a ****ing mule
Haha
You literally just betrayed your own principles one post after stating them. Priceless.
I must admit, I’m sure enjoying the chimpanzee poo-flinging contest here.
Sadly, lunch break is over and it’s back to work.
Can’t wait to see the carnage at 5:30 tonight.
For people that ask for a difficulty slider, did you even try to tweak/mod a small change in the game? If so, you could have realised that they have created literally tons of variables which tweak many aspects and different depths within the game. Seriously, it’s extremely difficult and time consuming to properly balance the game as it is that Warhorse is still working on it in order to improve it. There are several hardcore mods that try to make the game more difficult and each of them is very different from any other (several difficulty levels, some feel a bit more difficult, other are very hardcore). This points out that any small tweak unbalance other aspects of the world so dramatically, that I doubt they will be able to get difficulty sliders for their first game due to the high complexity of the game, which other similar games lack (yes, it’s their first game!!!).
What you both are demanding to a small developer is not realistic at all… Did you watch all their videos about the struggles during development? They didn’t have more money! Even Bethesda release very unbalanced, buggy and far less polished games and I don’t see gamers crying that much but saying Skyrim was the best game ever… and they still release their games in VR and other platforms with the same fucking bugs that were already fixed by the modders! Do you know why it’s possible to make difficulty sliders for Skyrim? Because it has the depth of a potato
Either chill down, use cheat mods and find mods which makes the game easier or make your own mods… Until then, it’s what we got and it’s still a masterpiece. Warhorse deserves respect despite mistakes, be fair.
It’s more fun if you sling some shit yourself, believe me
i indicated a preference not an rule of law. you indicated that you disagreed with that premise. so i just replied as you prefer. in a way, it’s an extension of matthew 7:12 … treating you as you prefer
“Seriously, it’s extremely difficult and time consuming to properly balance the game as it is that Warhorse is still working on it in order to improve it.”
How difficult can it be to increase the likelihood of landing a hit, decreasing the likelihood of being hit and increasing the likelihood of the opponent to not use a parry? You’re making this out to be rocket science when it really isn’t. I paid $60 for this game, asking the developers (who aren’t impotent babies) to make some tiny, easy changes to combat is not “unrealistic” or “disrespectful”
You’re completely talking out of your ass with this entire post.
But telling people to get a refund or not to buy would help?
All those mods I have seen, want to make it harder only one I have seen, would make a mess of this game.
An honest answer to that from warhorse would be nice, like: “sorry, but we have no ressources to make this game for more people”.
oh, and if one single person can rebalance the game, why not a whole team?
I really think it’s the opposite, you should think twice. Everything is always so easy to say when you’re not even aware of the technical specificities and complexities, as if it’s like tweaking a shallow mobile app… If it’s so easy to balance these changes to your liking, why don’t you join us in the modding community and make an easy KCD mod? We might be able to help, you’re welcome!
If you’re still unhappy, report it to Warhorse personally. You’re not trying to find a solution, you want everything to your liking and life is not like that… Sucks, isn’t it? Game is too easy for me, i’m on the other side and want more realistic combat. That’s why they have released a middle point. If you want something else, go tweak it yourself at the moment.
Don’t you think it’s honest enough to have released all the videos they have done? Did you watch them? Everything is explained, you just need to watch them instead of asking things you didn’t take the effort to find.
It’s based on their own preference, and you can’t get it perfect/tight. If you check their comments, there are always people who disagree with some balancing decisions. It’s extremely difficult and time consuming, you both don’t know what you’re saying and that’s why you get frustrated.
There’s a big difference between bringing constructive criticism than bringing your own rubbish and miseries. I’ve also critised some of the aspects of this game, but always from respect to the developers and to different opinions.
You’re just bringing shit and rubbish with shallow phrases, you are not even aware of any technical aspect and you don’t wanna care. You kind of like to accuse others of your own issues, I recall… As soon as you’re clearly contradicted and look like a fool, you want the people out of here.
Poor person, too used to getting always what you want but you can’t take reality… You’re a waste of time, keep your shit together… Cheers
as i understand much of the re-balancing is likely manipulating damage tables/attributes. conceptually, not difficult. that said, to create the UI to enable it takes time and resources… opportunity cost. WH probably and reasonably feels that delivering more money and value to core customers will come from spending time and money on other things
wouldn’t be surprised to see it later. just wouldn’t hold my breath about seeing it any time soon
I have no clue about modding and rebalancing, I honestly state that.
I would have thought it wouldn’t be that much of a hassle for example, take the state from 1.4.3 make this the easy mode and the new patch as the default mode.
For now I play as it is, it took me an hour or more to erase the last brigandine camp near skalitz, with poisoning (only one pot it was dark and I couldn’t see a thing) and shooting, sneaking around, and fighting with sword…It was a very tense hour lol.
It’s just that some people want to force their way on others, that’s what I don’t get.
If implemented, such a slider wouldn’t harm anyone
Edit: typos
fwiw, from my perspective, during the early days post-release, it wasn’t about a middle ground or compromise. it’s too hard; unplayable and it all needs nerfing or redesign. vs it’s fine/too easy for me. git gud.
is this your statement?
At no point even during early just release days did I find the game ‘Too Difficult’, sure you had to practice but that had been said, over and over, in statements before release. Yes I got my arse handed to me a few times and ran away to live and fight another day! Trained and got the hang of it then went back and won the battle, sometimes barely but a win’s a win!
git gud isn’t my expression. (click on the reddit link if you don’t know about it). i personally try to git gud but i try not to force that expectation upon others.
i’d like WH to be transformative. i’d like to think (but have no marketing data to verify the sentiment) adding an easy level (if not slider) broadens their audience and revenue stream.
Git Gud is an idiotic phrase, a few minutes in the ring with Bernard and you, usually, click. Ahh that’s what your supposed to do. The whole mechanic is that you have to put effort into improving your character and level, much like in real life you have to study/work hard to acheive anything. I think an ‘easy mode’ would ruin this and cheapen the experience for all who played it. If they can’t be bothered to put the small amount of effort in they should go play somthing more geared to them.
