ahhh question dodging
Nah, that is freedom. Freedom to choose. Hard to understand for a Brit that someone has respect for the freedom of your girlfriend (even if such freedom is not enshrined in British laws), so I’ll leave it at that.
@TheDivineInfidel You’ve talked a lot about Bulgarians, Romanians and Poles, but considering how utterly terrible the situation is in Spain - do you get also many Spanish immigrants?
wasnt a matter of freedom of anything it was a simple question of what you would consider her nationality. her passport says British but she is from a german heritage.
im asking for your opinion not for your permission of what she may or may not refer to her self as
no dont get many Spanish here not that ive come across mainly just the poorer eastern European nations really
Its about 3K - 5k on average with insurance.
Wow, that is quite hardcore.
Here foreigners who want long-term residency and work permits need to have 2 years pre-paid medical insurance. This didn’t use to coer child birth. The mother usually counted on that they would go to their home country and give birth there (the kids would anyway not be eligible for the Czech citizenship based on birth here only, unlike in US/UK).
However there were few cases in which the foreigners gave birth prematurely. I am not sure what the charge for birth is, but a day in incubater costs over €2.000 a day. There was quite a public uproar that this bankrupts the poor mothers so the insurance companies had to change their plans so that foreigner’s insurance now covers also birth & care for the child.
And that was issue of just a few Ukrainians and Vietnamese, if Czechs would be treated this way, we would surely have revolution in the country!
[health insurance is obligatory in the Czech Republic, I am currently paying about €100 a month]
I studied in Germany and my ex worked in Brussels for EU. The sheer number of young Spaniards and Italians desperately looking for jobs there was really shocking for me. Hell, Spaniards and Italians are now coming to work even to the Czech Republic. So much for being poor ex-communist country.
Yeah they’ve known about the Yellowstone super volcano for a very long time now. Its probably one of my biggest fears because its less than a few hours drive from where i live.
Its the biggest volcano in the world and if it went off the United states would be over with most of it being buried under ash. The world would also be hugely affected with millions starving due to all the farms dying because the the enormous ash clouds that block out the sun.
I honestly thought it was going to go off a while ago because it was acting up big time. The lake is constantly rising and bulging because of the huge pressure of the volcano, and a little while ago the road melted because of the intense heat. Then an entire herd of Bison dropped dead because of gasses that rose through the surface.
Well i’m not the person to ask ive never had a kid.
Yeah that’s really something we need to fix. Mexicans and Chinese women exploit the hell out of it. In fact there is a hotel in California i believe where there main form of business is have Chinese women give birth there.
Yeah they wanted to try that in the U.S how ever it would have costed the average family triple what they said it would. It was never to help out people who needed healthcare it was to line the pockets of insurance companies.
Fuck, and I had second thoughts about moving to Slovenia just because they had an earthquake there century and half ago. Supervolcano is entirely different level.
Slovenia is probably the only other country in Europe I could imagine moving to. Maybe Austria a little too.
The 100 covers me only. My girlfriend pays a little less due to earning a little less.
On the other hand until 18 you are covered by the state. Same once you get state pension.
Here healthcare is taken as a human right as much as gun rights in the US, but we still understand it costs money, so that’s why the obligatory insurance.
Even if you stop paying the insurance company may only collect the payments debt but can’t deny paying for your healthcare.
The system actually works quite well (we have a lot better healthcare than UK for example), however the doctors still have the communist attitude, they don’t really explain much to you and don’t talk with patient a lot about the procedure. Sometimes you feel like a cattle rather than a customer.
Yeah if that fucker went off all the western states along with parts of Canada would be under 3-6 feet of ash that turns to concrete in your lungs. I actually was looking into buying some gas masks when the road was melting but i kinda forgot about it.
100 dollars is a lot cheaper than “Obama care”. I think it was supposed to cost the average family something like 6,000 dollars a month or something like that which is insane. If you don’t sign up for it within a year i think you get fined 25% of your annual income.
Oh and in case you were curious @snejdarek the volcano erupts around every 400,000 years. The last time it erupted was 450,000 years ago. So we’re actually over due for an eruption by 50,000 years.
It seems it is time to die for you
Won’t be pleasant either. I would die of starvation or my lungs would turn to concrete from breathing in ash. If i managed to survive all of that i would die of dehydration because all water would be ruined. Last but certainly not least i would be crushed when 3 feet of ash (which is twice as heavy as wet concrete) finally collapses my roof. I think that’s everything
Oh and i would like to add that you and @TheDivineInfidel would probably be fucked as well. The ash cloud would plunge the world into a nuclear winter and you might starve to death or in @TheDivineInfidel case killed by looters in rioters.
All the territorial possessions of all the political establishments in the earth consist of pilferings from other people’s wash. No tribe, howsoever insignificant, and no nation, howsoever mighty occupies a foot of land that was not stolen. - Mark Twain
Completely true.
doubt it …we dont deserve it
i pay nothing for my healthcare BITCHES PLEASE
never understood why the US doesnt have free healthcare its not like you cant afford it
ohh yesa this is why @SirWarriant you may be interested in this video its an insane amount
