but they were legal at one point . at one point in the chain 99% of their guns left a legal functioning factory . every bullet left a legal factory . over time , through crime and connections they find there way into the illegal market . can you not grasp that

There are actually Mexican militias that have begun to sprung up around the country and they fight the cartels and are quite successful. They’re just ordinary citizens who are pissed at being oppressed and scared.
of course they can be fought but they are no walk in the park . very well armed and established
