i presented a brief description of the jet in response to @snejdarek . then backed up my brief description with a article analysing the jet compared to NATO’s next generation jets and how the technology gap is closing .
Russia always claims their shit is better than ours. Remember when they claimed the t-72 was far superior to the M60 Patton tank? They sold a bunch of the newest ones to Iraq, and when they got completely shit on by the Patton, it completely humiliated Russia
you responded with this . a irrelevant paragraph , that offered no real response to my post about the T-50

in fact you did not even back up your claims of the M60 humiliating the T-72 . Which i would suspect would be some sort of record of an M60 taking out a t-72 which in no ways makes a certain tank better than another one . As generally who wins is down to the skill of the crew .

I’d only point out that the export versions of T-72s were very downgraded compared to those in the Soviet or Czech army arsenal. Western guns never got tried against the 1st tier communist technology, only against the 3rd tier guns run by insufficiently trained 3rd world countries crews.

I wonder what my chance to take him down with the Kahr CM9 I had on me during Friday’s 4 hours train ride would be.

The disadvantage is clear, so the main question is how much damage I could get on him before being down myself.

In this very case, however, judging by the description, it seems that the only thing limiting me would be my own magazine capacity.

“He had pulled the trigger on the AK, the primer was just faulty, so the gun didn’t go off, luckily,” Mr. Skarlatos said. “And he didn’t know how to fix it, which is also very lucky.” In addition, he had not been able to load his own handgun. “There was no magazine in it, so he either dropped it accidentally or didn’t load it properly, so he was only able to get what appeared to be one shot off,” Mr. Skarlatos said.

i think tackling him was the best option . then drawing the gun on him if you had one .
At such a close encounter (judging by the descriptions ) i think you would waste time by going for your gun first .

You would be better smashing all your weight into him , knocking him on the back foot right away . then either draw the gun or just restrain him as they did . once one person goes for him and is half successful you can almost be sure more people will join in the fight back

Saying that however . i dont think you would think much about your actions at all . it would all just be pure survival instinct

And if you really did read our conversation, you would know i wasn’t making childish comments.

I don’t agree with that. I usually back my claim with maybe a link a two. I usually do look at evidence that other people post. There have been some exceptions but for the most part i do.

You might not hold age against me, but someone else clearly does.

And then responded to me with attacks.

It was a comparison. The T-72 was viewed as superior, when i fact it wasn’t. This new jet is being viewed as superior without being tested.

> The M60A1/A3s performed well against opposing tanks such as T-55s, T-62s, Type 69s and T-72s in various conflicts including the Yom Kippur War, Lebanon and the battle for the Kuwait airport during the Gulf war. The US Marines exclusively used the M60 during the conflict. In early February 1991, two hundred USMC M60A1s of the 2nd Battalion drove north from Khafji, Saudi Arabia into Kuwait. In Kuwait they encountered an Iraqi force of T-54/55, Type 69, and T-72 tanks at Kuwait City International Airport. This was the largest tank battle for the Marines since World War II. The Marines won this battle, destroying almost nine dozen Iraqi tanks with only a single M60A1 lost. The defeat of the Iraqi force was not only humiliating to Iraq but also to the USSR’s arms export effort. This was in part due to the fact that some of the tanks destroyed were the newer T-72 which the Soviets claimed was superior to the M60. Despite the performance of the M60, the Marine Corps decided to replace it with the M1 Abrams in order to have the same tank as the US Army. The M60 was also fielded by Egypt but it is unknown if they saw any fighting.

Yes i agree, but the reason it was so shocking is, that the T-72 considered far better.

This is true, but the T-72s which engaged the M60 Patton’s were the newest version, not cheap downgrades.
That’s why it was such a humiliation.

The difference is, i don’t call other members of the troll cave “childish” and immature", while I’m throwing a tantrum.

incorrect . they were export versions . export versions are always downgraded . Why ? so the manufacturing nation holds the military advantage .

If russia was to enage with another nations T-72’s with their own the russians on paper would hold the advantage as their T-72’s would have all the top end gadgets . the export version would not ,

the T-72M was the export version . and the version the top end american M60’s went up against

T-72M
Export “Monkey model” version, similar to T-72A but lacking composite armour and with downgraded weapon systems, such as a lack of fire-control systems

so a russian t-72 has never had a face down with an american M60 EVER .also as stated a T-72 at the hands of a russian/soviet crew is far more dangerous than one at the hands of the iraqi army .

as is the case with the abrams and the Iraqis now a days .

so who would win would be down to alot more factors than simply the tanks as on paper they are pretty equal

the jet is in testing and is currently performing very well . and is due to enter service next year

sometimes the truth just has to be spoken .

…Meanwhile in Oregon. Its wild fire season.

I woke up to the smell of fire and was like WTF? Im the only one in the neighborhood with an active fire pit, I go out side and it looks like a foggy day but of course its not fog.

I took these two pics myself. we get smoke every year from the fires that happen but never to this degree. Last year was bad but this year is much worse because we had a drought this season.

The treeline in this picture is no more then a quarter mile from my house.

Some pics from my buddies FB he is out fighting the fire in Washington.

Been pretty damn smoky where i live too. I wonder if that’s coming down from your state, or there’s a fire here.

Yes but how well it will perform in combat is the real question.

Well regardless, it was considered a humiliation, and hurt their reputation as arms dealers.

There were no truths spoken. You were just upset that i dare question Russian tech, and that i called you a Russian fan boy. You still have yet to point out what was childish about my comments.

Mean while you type comments like this.

Very mature of you.

Again when I was referring to you being childish I was not talking directly about the Russia comments I was talking in general sense. If you really read what was posted you would be able to comprehend this.

Also whether or not you comments are childish is within the eyes of the person perceiving it. So the more often you go “I was not being childish” it just affirms that perception.

You do not have to agree with something to make it true.

So then you just dismiss it wholly instead of using it to formulate a rebuttal with relevant counter arguments.

See how often I have to reiterate the same information to you.

Yeah the thing is that he as well as others (madaras and others called you out on this in threads that are now closed, this is when you started to lie a bout your age) had already perceived you as being immature prior to your true age being revealed.

Its not like @TheDivineInfidel learned your age and suddenly reevaluated every view point he has had of you to be aligned with your age, it just affirmed his previously made assumptions.

Bullshit, there is no difference in the context in which person uses a personal attack it is still a personal attack.

No, but you often resort to calling people “stupid” and “dumb” and many of your posts have general a condescending tone to them.

Now before you start of going “but… but…but” he does this you’ve done it, that isn’t the point. You cannot seem to come to the realization of what your doing accept responsibility for it.

You give of a perception of being all knowing and irrefutable, you do not embrace the possibility of accepting a new concept which is defined as closed mindedness(this has been made evident by the many times you end a debate with “im right your wrong end of story”).

I do not condone @TheDivineInfidel calling you childish (regardless of the fact I agree with the perception) he himself has been just as guilty of some of the things in this post.

The only reason I made a comment on the situation at all is because I felt highly disrespected by your attempt to color me as some sort of Nazi Sympathizer, which is not a path you want to take with me.

I do not condone the actions of Nazi’s, Serial killers, or those who commit homicide in a passionate rage. I will however fight for their right to live just as strongly as any other human being because life is sacred period.

Killing does not permit killing, its an endless moronic concept.

Potentially both, the fire in Washington is pumping smoke up into B.C. and deep into Oregon. Then there’s a fire in Oregon closer in Colorado’s direction.

We often get smoke from Idahos wild fires.

Forest fires ? No such issues here

Love Richard Pryor, the man was REAL.

Go read through all of the gun arguments we’ve had, and you’ll find this not to be true.

I never said it wasn’t a personal attack. I just pointed out that @TheDivineInfidel is highly hypocritical when he calls me childish, because he throws out personal attacks constantly.

Yes i could say the same about your posts, mainly when they are directed at me.

Not even close to what i was saying. The three of you were saying everyone deserved a second chance, to feel remorse and reflect on what they did. Most Nazis were executed for their crimes, their murders. I said i was glad that people with your view points were not conducting those trials, because those men would have been allowed to live, and maybe even get out of prison.

I have no clue where you got i was calling you a Nazi supporter.

No but you don’t get to see fantastic mountains everyday either.

Well worth the trouble of forest fires.
