Back before we entered EU, the number of asylum applications of Czech gypsies in UK got to the point where British authorities placed officials at Prague Airport whose only role was to deny access to airplanes bound to UK to anyone with darker skin.

Skip fifteen years ahead to today aaaand… Canada just started doing the same thing, no gypsies allowed to planes bound for Canada.

That is not US border, that is actually EU border, between Serbia and Hungary, and those getting across are Syrian refugees.

Hungarians started building the fence a month ago. Leave it to Hungarians to waste shitload of money on building something completely ineffective.

What really saddens me is that within a couple of months the border controls within Schengen will be renewed. My parents grew up on border with Poland at times when there was electric barbed fence and soldiers patrolling, and I’ve enjoyed very much living in free Europe in the past decade.

There are over 5 millions refugees in refugee camps in Jordan, Turkey, Egypt, Libya right now with no prospect of any meaningful life whatsoever. They won’t stop coming until we clean up the mess that is currently in their countries. And I don’t think that there is any will to start with the clean up.

What I don’t understand is the sheer number of young healthy guys coming. Reading the news from Syria got me to the point that if I wouldn’t have all things working for me here now (family, work, health), I would have most probably joined Kurdish militia by now. Meanwhile all those guys who could make a change keep coming here instead.
