there is one rule however which doesnt actually apply to firework night (counts as a special occasion ) , on a normal night you cant let them off between 11pm and 7am .

Have a few big mortars like that, saving them for New years eve. I got the cops called a few years back for setting a off a huge string of black cats during winter. It sounded like fucking automatic gun fire and the neighbourhood was swarming with cops for several hours.

No , a lot of police are riot trained and carry riot kit in the back of their cars . If needed . They would simply call for back up which would be there in a few minutes while the first 2 officers attempt to calm things down .
Also generally on a Friday night police vans with 15 or so riot trained officers in each will sit around waiting for these types of calls as it’s quite common in the UK for a group of 10 or so drunk lads to start a fight with another 10 drunk lads
Depending on where it’s taking place of course . If it’s in a town centre then the CCTV will see it and the police will react with the knowledge of what they are dealing with before they get there.
On top of the police local bouncers will also step into help and calm it down . As I say it’s pretty common I’m guilty of being involved in a few in my younger years
