Exactly. You were there to deal with the situation.

In theater, there is just one goal. To survive and to make survival possible for those you care about.

the ultimate personal goal for any combat situation is to survive ,

certainly in some cases the person may act differently , but i think in the majority of cases the individual still wouldnt fire . some people just dont have the mentality no matter the situation and no matter how good they’re with a gun .

if you’re in the theatre you can only hope the one who has the gun has the bollocks to use it -

Ill agree with you to a point. A person by themselves might not use the gun but if their family is in danger i have no doubt they would use the gun. In a fight or die situation a person will almost always fight. Far more people stop a violent crime with a gun than commit a violent crime each year in the U.S

The fact remains how ever that the shooter didn’t want to go into a theatre where people had concealed weapons.

nice new interview for you here

@TheDivineInfidel That is a really good interview. Thank you for sharing it.

This, however, is THE news of the decade:

Vladimir Putin has said Russia was so fearful of attack at the height of the Ukraine crisis that it was preparing to arm its nuclear weapons, in extraordinary claims aired on state TV on Sunday night.

@SirWarriant And thank you for this: http://edition.cnn.com/2015/03/13/world/army-convoy-through-europe/index.html I’d go out and buy them some beers, if I only had time for that. But I am sure there will be enough folk doing that, so my absence won’t be felt

to be honest i dont think its much news at all , its hyped up by the media because "NUKES ! " when in reality its standard practice for nation to have contingency plans in place for ALL possible situation INCLUDING nukes .

he would not have used them but by placing them on stand by it sends a message .

the western media is shovelling shit with russia .
russia doesnt want war or to invade europe . they’re protecting THEIR interests as we are around the world also . its just in this situation are interests are a threat to russian interests

There is a difference between having plans that are in place for decades and a chief military leader saying out loud publicly that he actually had the finger on the nuclear switch.

I am sorry you don’t see the insanity of that.

woah their , no one mentioned the switch . see this is where the media has sucked people in .

what he said was he was prepared to put his nuclear forces on a high state of readiness . so they are in a position to react to ANY situation .

@TheDivineInfidel i can’t fucking stand the sound of his voice could you perhaps just tell me what the videos about?

Can’t tell if you’re sarcastic or not hmm but i wouldn’t want a forign army trample through my country either so i cant blame you.

I think their actions in Georgia and Ukraine speak differently.

depends on the angle you look at it , in both situations both nations were attempting to join NATO which is a big no no for russia . which is what annoys me , we shouldn’t be encouraging this nations to join it creates these situations .

as for georgia , read up on it a little more not a russian invasion or even slightly similar to ukraine .

georgian troops went into south Ossetia and begun killing supporters of the independence (which was a argument/war since 1991) their is plenty of evidence that suggests that the Georgian troops were committing war crimes and killing civilians , russia intervened , rightly or wrongly . it was not an all out russia invasion , lets get that clear

No, I am serious. I was actively protesting when the US was planning to have a military base in the country, but this is different. I do believe that NATO countries need to both train together as well as to be able to show the willingness to fight together.

After the Russian invasion of Ukraine, defending Vilnius and Tallinn must clearly become the focus of NATO’s European agenda. And this shows the US has the resolve to do that. And, without any sarcasm, I thank you for the little you gave in your taxes to pay for this ride through Europe.

Now it is also time that Europewide politicians get their heads out of their asses and realize that peace in Europe is over. Sadly, the only ones who saw this coming were the Poles.

Oh my damn those free nations for making their own choices. Lets face it their freedom from the soviet union came at a price. If Russia doesn’t like their decisions they’re going to invade them.

He is British. Freedom is not part of his dictionary. Otherwise he couldn’t seriously use those justifications based on Russian sphere of influence.

Apropos, Ukraine joining NATO was never on the table.

now your not looking at this sensibly .

what was wrong with the soviets having bases in cuba ?
same thing a nation protects its interests . we dont want russia bases next to us and they dont want NATO bases next to them . to ensure peace we do have to make compromises and think about the consequences of our actions

ohh really !? how about then the Bucharest summit

i quote

, Nato Secretary General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer said that Georgia and Ukraine would eventually become members.

Did anyone attack anybody over Cuba? No, there was just a blockade. Legitimate, legal blockade.

Clearly, you must see the difference between blockade and invasion of unmarked soldiers. Which, as far as I remember, are not covered by Geneva convention and the Ukrainians thus have full right to shoot them on site instead of taking them POW.

Yeah, and in Brussels they painted a picture in which Russia joins EU in 20 years all the same. Come on, be serious.

you be serious its irresponsible for these nations to join NATO they offer NOTHING but hassle

i think you will find the US was well prepared to invade cuba and even planned on stagging a passenger jet being shot down to get support for the invasion

http://www.bibliotecapleyades.net/sociopolitica/atlantean_conspiracy/atlantean_conspiracy21.htm

http://www.ratical.org/ratville/CAH/Northwoods.html

lets get the facts straight , every nation is in it for their interests , the separatists support Russia so naturally they would back them .

russia does not want to directly control ukraine , they want a pro-russian but Ukrainian government and we want a pro-west Ukrainian government . why ? money is why .
you know it and i know it ,
this is a proxy war. both sides are feeding their populations with bullshit to gain support for what they’re doing . both sides are as guilty as eachother , the only victims are the Ukrainians , who are now stuck in the middle of two very large power hungry forces.

so why you can sit here and hate on russia when it comes to it , you wont be fighting the war you helped cause .

The man who proposed that was fired and the plan rejected until the Bush administration used it to invade Iraq. So no the U.S was not going to invade Cuba
