jesus christ , yes in every operation their is risk of being spotted , they’re special forces , they’re trained to do the things you think " fuck off no way " .
secondly the plane would be heard and if possible they would go for cover or hit the deck , clearly you know very little of the details of these things , special forces operate in units of generally about 4-6 .
it would not be a huge line of 400 men walking through alska , they would go in small groups and achieve their units objective , if assulting a large target that is going to need more men then they meet at a location close ish to the target so that the assault can be started quickly and reduces the time they’re together in a large pack , generally the larger group would be 50 men , still quite easy to conceal ,
camouflage and discipline is key in these operations .

Underestimating militias was your ancestors undoing and the reason the U.S is a country today. Most militias are ex military, or have been shooting/hunting their entire lives. They know the land very well so that would give them the advantage as well. Again the U.S is a different country than the U.K. You’re obviously taught from birth that you have no chance against any attacker or invaded and that laying down and dying or being enslaved is the best option. That is not what we’re taught in the U.S. So if the Russians invaded the U.S they would have one hell of an insurgency to deal with.
believe as you wish but the militias wouldn’t be an issue as large as you think and majority of the US population wouldnt become insurgents , you know it as well as i do . maybe in the deep south many would but i dont think many in say Miami , new york or Washington DC would be .
and in the UK the civilians would help out where civilians are most useful …logistics . carrying supplies and wounded from the frontline this kind of help is perfect , chuck and paul running round with their AR-15 because they have been going to the range for a few years has suddenly made them combat troops all wind up dead or running for the hill when they face a force which fires and moves as a units and they become under intense fire that does not let up at any moment .
the tactics of the taliban wouldnt work in a US city and the tactics of the terrorists in 1776 wouldnt work
today
.

I never said they would be charging down the road i said they would defend the areas they were already in.
yes of course , but for example if a US base was attacked right now by a sizeable force the base would fall because its not in a combat posture to repel such a strike , in peacetime a base in only in a position to maintain security from a terror attack or such not a fall blown strike .
on every single military base i have been on be it British or american you dont walk around with a rifle 24/7 their locked away in the armoury and when you require a rifle , you sign it out along with however much ammunition you require and you go onto sentry duty or down to the firing range or whatever
