Give it a few years my friend. They’re already trying to get their foot in the the door with an EU army. Almost makes me wonder if they secretly like the fact that Trump is trying to get NATO to pay the 2%, it gives them a stronger case for an EU army that outside influence couldn’t affect.
Of course it doesn’t . The EU has taken a dig by allowing Spain the opportunity to bitch about the sovereignty of Gibraltar and now they have been told where to go .
We have quite a strong hand in negotiations, hence why the EU and the left here is screaming about us pulling the security card because we win in that area every time and the EU needs our security resources . Can’t cherry pick with our support either

Apparently in UK, if you put someone in “quasi-headlock” and then follow them on the street and kill them, it is considered self defense.
That’s because we are allowed use "disproportionate force " in self defence . This of course is judged case to case . With idea behind being that in the heat of the moment you are not really in a position to decide what’s too much force and what isn’t you simply do what you feel you have too .
Our courts are pretty strict however so if they have cleared him then there is a bloody good reason for doing what he did
I did not judge the proportionality of force. I judged the very merit of calling it self defense.
I wouldn’t get carried away with how’s it’s described in the media . I’m sure if you shot a woman in self defence alone in a park at night the headline would go something like
"Man cleared of gunning down a woman in a hail of bullets "
Being a lawyer I would understand that the charges could be diminished to brawl with deadly outcome upon conviction, however there has been complete lack of any information leading to possible justification of complete exhonoration.
Here when you start a fight, there is no way for you to call for self defense when it turns badly for you. That is why I always walk away when I am armed, without a word being spoken in the direction of possible threat.
So if you was to hit someone and then you were thrown to the floor and the person got on top of you and begun caving your skull in with his fists .
You fearing for you life reach for a rock and smack him . Knocking him unconscious and the person later dies … that would be considered murder in the Czech Republic?
I don’t know much about that case first I’ve heard of it . I do know however courts here and the police are very strict on what they deem self defence and not so I have faith that if he has been cleared of any wrong doing he was indeed in the right .
Most probably a brawl with deadly outcome. 2-8 years imprisonment.
If me punching him first would be totally uncalled for, then yes, it may be even judged as a murder, 10-18 years imprisonment. It would be next to impossible to prove legitimate fear for own life in situation where you are the one who started the attack.
