I don’t think he has been arrested yet. When 4chan found his identity, he deleted his Twitter and Facebook account. Some 4chan guy hacked into his amazon account and ordered a shit ton of bike locks with one day shipping, and “rate my professor” has been spammed with trolls, and his employers have also been swarmed, so hopefully he gets fired.
So hopefully it’s a matter of time before he’s charged.
Media hasn’t given the story any coverage of course. They’re all crying about this girl who was hurling bottles at people and jumped in the middle of a fight and was rewarded with a fist to the face.
Only a matter of time before someone dies. Since the Trump side is starting to bring shields and sticks, i wonder if Antfia will up the ante with guns. The cops need to crack down on this shit fast, before we have fucking fire fights going on the streets.
Luckily at a recent rally, they started arresting anyone wearing a mask, so hopefully other departments will follow suit, but unfortunately you have certain mayors who will order stand downs.

why does a mayor have that kind of power ? that needs looking at , the police are there to act in the interest of the people not the mayor.

Well surely the police answer to the mayor in most countries do they not? Regardless there certainly needs to be an investigation done, this isn’t really a new thing either.
A few years back during the Baltimore riot, the fucking mayor and chief of police openly admitted to giving people “Room to riot”, and “room to loot”.
here they answer and accountable to the mayor but are not controlled by the mayor .
the mayor sets policing policy etc but actual operational decisions are the responsibility of the police commissioner (chief of police to you ) so a mayor in the UK cannot tell the police to stand down he can advise them and apply political pressure but cant directly "command " them too .
Even the prime minster does not hold the power to command the police directly .
this is a genuine tactic , if the police dont have the resources to completely stop looting then they will attempt to contain it until said resources become available .
here the mayor would have no say over such a tactic that would be again down to what the police feel is the best way to end the riots.
as for these fights that the mayor ordered your police to stand down , here the mayor would be told to jog on basically as it would be the duty of the police to restore order and allow the space for peaceful protest , it would be deemed within the public interest to prevent people smashing the shit out of each other .
how can you have a free society in which no one is above the law if the politicians have the power to prevent the enforcement of the law ? the only people who have such the power should be the courts .
