Okay, I will probably join
badly want to see that film , some harrowing stories from that failed campaign.
There were another 192,000 troops evacuated from ports in the west of France over the following month. This is around 50% of the total evacuated from Dunkirk itself. More of the equipment (though far from all) was recovered from these operations, which was a notable failure at Dunkirk where almost all equipment, down to infantry personal equipment and arms were ordered abandoned on the beach head, and supply and re-equipment of the recovered half million French and British survivors from the Battle of France was a major difficulty.
Finally got to put the 330HP through its paces and find out how thirsty the V8 can be - 38,9l/100 km (7,3 miles per gallon UK / 6 miles per gallon US).
BTW WTF is miles per gallon US-UK? Whatâs the difference?
Everything is bigger in the U.S, everything.
eeh⊠i dont know.
I expected that the movie will send some kind of message but it was just movie about running soldiers.
Maybe if I was familiar with events at Dunkirk, I might see it differently.
But it was better than any hollywood garbage that is shown nowadays.
I give it 7/10
I think it was a very good movie. I liked that it was not a story by characters but it was driven by the event itself. The characters were exchangeable with no big background story, so it was a story about everyone.
It was very immersive and in my opinion realistic in most parts, which I really liked. Especially the dogfights were very nice. What I missed were some more heavy vehicles on the beaches. I know the british left some tanks and a lot of equipment over there, which is not very visible in the movie. But all in all I thing it was very good and a fresh idea to tell about an event like this.
I also liked that it was not an usual action movie.
yea, Zimmerman also outdid himself on this one.

Yes, thats true, the âmusicâ was a bit off.
Well, thatâs kinda true to the events. Dunkirk was the evacuation of the British troops in France, who were surrounded by the Germans.
Yeah ive noticed that in a lot of his movies. The interstellar soundtrack sounds like someone fell asleep on an organ.
yea, its really badly drawn
look at that hand,âŠ
A guy with knife tried to rob a most centeraly placed gun shop in Prague today. As it happens, it is a wester-themed gun shop.
Stabbed owner, got shot by ownerâs wife and died.
Paramedics revived him.
I mean if he dies again and gets revived in hospital and then finally dies for real⊠this must be the worst punishment imaginable.
Supposedly the wife is a champion in some kind of competitive western shooting (too lazy to look for confirmation). Anyway, the perpetrator died in a hospital. Going to rob a gun shop with a knife and running into a shooting champion, that could be a good theme for a comedy movie.
That Wilts plod tweet was obviously written by a twit. Not only are the priorities all wrong, but they cannot even use the right form of âyouâreâ.
