The person likely behind the coup was Mugabes most trusted man for years. He also lead the communist forces during the Bush war, so men under his command murdered civilians frequently. The only reason this happened is because he was not handed power, and it was instead going to go to Mugabes wife after he either died or stepped down.
He will be no different, than Mugabe, perhaps even worse.
Perhaps they are trying to draw your forces out to search for the sub, while they plan to reclaim their rightful clay.
