When IĀ“m visit Prague, which points of interesst are for the ānormalā tourist? And which are for the insiders? I havenĀ“t visited before.
At the evening some beer testing?

Classic tourists visit old parts of Prague. Prague Castle, High Castle, Oldtown square and any church, museum and attraction they can find.
Although I live in Prague I do not go sightseeing.
Probably best way would be to google what can be found here and what would interest you.
About the community event, I am not sure what type of format would be best.
Whether just one weekend kind of thing or one day? (or more than weekend?)
As to beer testing. I am thinking of two pubs that would be great for it:
ZlĆ½ Äasy (The Bad times) - known to be the best beer pub in prague (though I would dispute that) with many kinds of great beer.
Kachna a korĆ”b (The Duck and the ship) - a smaller pub, but mostly with great beer offer (but smaller than ZlĆ½ Äasy) . But whats more important is that I know the owners and I might be able to get the MaleÅ”ov/Warhorse beer there.
Disadvantage is that they do not serve meals, only simple meals that go well with beer.
But that is faraway future still, maybe I will find something more suitable.

It would also be great to see some of the others, like @Tomtom, @rataj, the good @Urquhart, the lucky @janfo (this lucky guy is seen in so many video updates!) @Ryan from Fan-page Kingdomcome-base.net, the warsheep @jonischaf, this new guy @Phaidon from Hattingen, @Waldkauz and @Ragnot and of course @Reinicke with his famous videos. It would be great to meet some of them at a weekend in Prague.

I dunno guys, IĀ“d love to come and meet yĀ“all, but the moneysā¦ Q_Q IĀ“m just a poor university student and traveling to prague is quite expensive, at least for my means.
I plan to go workat some mini job in the holidays, so maybe I can save up some money for it
But weĀ“ll see ^^

I was once in Prague, in 2006. There was a pub near the Karlovy bridge with rustical, āmedievalā interior and ornaments like weapons etc. Wooden banks and tables, beer pint for 50 crowns/2 Euros. I canāt remember the name of the location, but if Prague has more of this kind or that one even exist still, Iād almost be tempted to have a reason to visit Prague once again.
Yeah, I know what you meanā¦ but Prague is less expensive than other alternatives, and its not this far from leipzig.
30-40 Euro for the bus to Prague and back, you may can get the whole weekend for less than 100ā¬. I know, this is a lot for university students like usā¦ but it is achievable.
Yeah I think we can get there somehow.
If itĀ“s necessary, iĀ“ll just eat less that month wouldnĀ“t do too much harm to me

If a pint you mean is aroud half a liter then 50 crowns is awfuly lot for that.
In some pubs you can get a beer for half that price.

From the point I created this topic I am slowly thinking how to plan thisā¦ I have no experience with this so if someone wants to throw some tips, please do.
To the plan.
Iād see it that we need to set a date at which we stop taking more people. That is because we need some stable nubmer of people to be able to reserve suitable place.
I would set this date to the end of August so people have time to register this.
After that I would give myself one or two months to find and reserve the place.
Rest of the time I would give to organazing other details.
Now. If there are some Czechs here other than me which want to participate on organizing please let me know.
Also I would really appreciate if everyone would write here:
- What do they want to do
- How long they see themselves being here
- Other ideas
I myself think that we could do weekend easily.
In my head I see it like this:
First day:
- Gather whole group
- Some event
- Pub in the evening
Second day:
- Some event
- Saying goodbye to ech other
- End
Some event - is place holder that stands for what we vote to do. Eg. visit museum, sightseeing, visit Warhorse studio? (what do you say @TobiTobsen), LAN party? hm? or anything else.
What do you think?
