I get that stuff happens and logistics are a difficult thing with this kind of volume. But if they knew some backers weren’t going to get their physical copies by launch, why wasn’t there a contingency plan put in motion to ensure that backers could play this as soon as it was released?

I had similar response and just now received the PS4 version of game (I was expecting / wanting) in the mail via USPS from a NY address in addition to the PC version of game I had received couple of days earlier via DHL from Czech Republic address.
I think shipping the PC version is way to provide the poster and soundtrack, while the PS4 had to ship separately from a NY address. They must have their reasons for this.
From my end, I am happy at this point. Looking forward to start playing this evening.
