What do you hate the most?

i’ll start the topic saying how much i love this game, it’s one of the best RPGs i ever played in a long time. but no matter how amazing a game is, there’s always something you’ll hate.
in my case, it’s pickpocket. i like the minigame, but what i hate the most is the RNG involved. most of the time you are instant caught and then you need to kill the person to save your reputation.
it’s frustrating when you are instant caught by a sleeping person.
the rest of the game is awesome.
so, what is the thing you hate the most in the game?

It is very possible that you didn’t grasp the idea of pickpocketing well enough, because I can do pickpocketing without being disclosed very successfully. Although I must say I didn’t grasp it at first, too.

No mounted Cuman (besides Run)

could you explain the idea for me?
i can understand being instant caught if a person if awake, but when they are asleep is kind of ridiculous IMO

No, without seeing how exactly you do it, I can’t.

i just go behind someone, stay still untill my stealth perk activate and then do it normally, hold the button and pray for the RNG god.
when people are sleeping i try to pickpocket them from every possible angle, but it doesn’t change anything, sometimes i manage to steal, but most of the time i’m caught.

Depends doesn’t it? Some people are light sleepers. Put you hands down someone’s pants while he’s asleep… he’ll wake up

sneak in a camp/room and knock out/stealth kill but it wakes up everyone.

And yet, if you sneak up next to guys at ambush points, you can stealth kill one guy and the guy crouched next to him is oblivious to the kill :man_facepalming: … WH QA said they were working on ambush AI … can’t come soon enough. Btw, had 5 bandits at last ambush :flushed: that was a full plate. If they were all heavily armed, I would’ve had to run or suffer serious bloodletting :skull:

Train a bit with miller Peshek. He will gladly allow to use his pocket to pick. It will help you to quickly raise your level.

When you hold the pickpocket key, are you watching the colour of the indicator? It is very important. When you’re searching the pocket after, are you watching the time?

Whenever I plan pickpocketing, I save before. Last time there were around 10 people sleeping next to each other, besides monastery where I also did same, I saved and then went crazy. I am very advanced in it so no problem but once you pickpocket too many at once, your chance of getting caught raises, even if single person tried multiple times at once, so it’s better to wait a bit and take as little time as possible, cause when it glows orange, you are in high chance for fail. Sometimes 6 seconds is enough to take most valuable stuff.

it’s not about color, it’s INSTANT caught
right after i hold the button, they catch me. it doesn’t even start the minigame, i’m just caught

Could it be because you had torch in your hand?

i had indeed a torch lit even while in stealth, but there are times when even when the place is pitch black i’m still instant caught, but i’ll try to confirm it, because it didn’t seem to affect stealth if you have torch or no

It affects it, I was caught in torch few times, until I quit pickpocketing with it.

you dont understand pickpocketing properly.

for me the game is boring towards the end. just doing the last two quests now and disappointed it didnt require me to fight very much without massive armies with me.

For once I agree with Kirksty…

Those last couple fights… loading… loading… OK FIGHT! 5 seconds later as I run toward an enemy… GOOD JOB! loading… loading… OK FIGHT! for like 5 seconds… It’s weird.

Those last few battles were like over in a couple heartbeats and I didn’t really get to do much at all in them.

What I really hate is that they never finished the game, and didn’t do a very good job with what they did put out on the market.

That’s what I hate the most.

I hate the most that I can’t remove the HUD. Or only the HUD elements I don’t want to see.

Game is generally awesome. I do find it a bit ham-fisted in regards to certain quests which makes certain actions puzzling. For instance, you can kill everyone in either of the two main enemy camps, run back to Radzig and have everyone assemble for an assault, then you have to kill everyone all over again like nothing happened. Additionally, in that first enemy camp you face, you have the option of infiltrating that by joining them. Unfortunately, if you go that route and enter the camp and talk to one of their … erm… hiring managers, they just mention something about it not being a good day to join, then everyone attacks Henry. It’s a bit nonsensical, and it very much looks like these parts of the game were unfinished.
