Wasn’t. Just making my sentiment clear to longshot
KCD has done a commendable job at setting up alchemy/apothecary elements but still think it’s just scratched the surface in terms of giving the player a feel for medieval medicine

Like bleeding out for a cure to “bad Humors”
So much was lost with the fall of the roman empire.
It is my view that the idea of magic spell partially came from people that had the ability to read the old knowledge and do “miraculous” things were looked on and feared by the superstitious unknowing masses.
Old knowledge of healing skill and medicinal herbs looked on as witchcraft. Enforced by a power hungry church.
I hate that it is not quite there, to what a lot desired from the road less traveled by.
I can only look forward to what they can do with the new found experience and barriers of doubt removed. if they will roll the dice again and go further. Match ambition with the technical skill.
Maybe set themselves apart even more.
something darker like so
why does it hafta be darker? why not more adventuresome, history following. Not everybody wants a gloomy pessimistic game.
My friends in school love smoking weed, its part of history. It’s just a plant and we have an alchemy and herb tree it should be in there.
My state in the USA has legalized medical liquid use but recreation use will get you in slammer especially driving. It is the casual use and that recommendation of it that find not good.
Up there with walking around drunk/ driving drunk. Throwing it in the game a s an in game recreation is a bad example for all players of all ages. IMHO.
It is also illegal at the federal government level. so the suppliers can/'t use the banking system setting them up as good cash targets.
Illegal here. Pretty much 99% of english have taken it tho. Amazed they can make a plant illegal. Lol!
The same bump sound effect as I clumsily navigate the world.
Did I recommend recreational use in KCD?
No…
I recommended having it in the alchemy for possible healing, if it “was” used in the Middle Ages.
As I stated, I don’t know if it was, but I suspect it was.
Maybe we should state an “off topic” Thread?
“Should cannabis be present in KCD?”
What do I hate the most in this game?
The quest to create 60 potions to prepare for the siege. I didn’t have a good relationship with the woodland witch, so I had to make them myself. That literally took a couple of real-life hours to do.
Not even that if u can auto brew potions.
I didn’t have my alchemy level high enough for auto-brew…that, drinking and pickpocketing are the skills that I largely ignored. I did take the skill to get 4 potions every time I manually crafted a potion, so that sped up the last 30 bottles in that quest.
You can reselect ur perks lad if u have the right potion
I do not regret the decisions of the life I made, child. And I would not resort to witchcraft to try and erase the impressions left on me by those choices.
In other words, I’m good, mate. Thread topic asked what you hated, not what you logically had a reason to dislike. Since when has hate ever been rational? I hated spending two hours standing in front of an alchemy station.
The use of alchemy and first aid is underutilized outside specific quest/activities. Hope that can be changed. Examples? NPCs can reviving someone knocked out. You can’t. Guard NPCs bend over in pain, and yet you’re unable to give or apply your bandages and potions. Etc
Ah the thing I dislike the most about alchemy.
Thanks, you reminded me.
I dislike the over prescribed head movements that accompany the alchemy process.
Henry’s head moves like it’s on some kind of spring when at the alchemy bench.
I’d like to see these excessive movements removed.
The movements make me nauseous and make it difficult to use the controls without causing even more unnecessary head (screen) movement.
I agree. At the infirmary in Sassau is a good example.
Henry helps only two patients, while others lie bleeding to death?
Also, when he asks what he can do, he is told to find the Monk in charge of supplies.
I couldn’t find him. Why make this so difficult.
Henry should be able to ask, “Where can I find him?”
Instead he is suppose to go wondering around the monestary aimlessly?
Hopefully these quests will be polished up in future patches.
Sound like the way you look at things is way more concentrated and centered than most.
The movements don’t bother me tho I wish they were more fluid.
I have learned from events and hobbies in my past to not concentrate so much on one spot in viewing.
Watching my cats too they use whole vison to see and then spot something and zoom in.
I see this circular motion on the screen, like Henry is in a boat trying to balance himself while grabbing things.
You didn’t have all the first aid skills and decent alchemy skill?
I helped the guy who couldn’t sleep, gave bandages and wrapped the leg of the skalitz guy. Gave the injured construction worker comfy for his healing, reset the compound fractured leg of the shifty guy. did found and cured the sick skalitz guy who hid in the corpse.
I’d say that is a little bit more. but then I have the skills and the first aid perks before I started this quest line.
