EVGA GTX780 6Gb SC with ACX cooler should hopefully work smoothly at 1440p on at least the top half of the settings. We shall see shortly!
I am playing Ryse 1080p maxed out with a R9 280 and it uses like 3Gb of my VRAM. Average FPS is like 40-60 and with 1.5x SS is like 30-40fps. WIth 2x SS is less than 30fps because of trashing (lack of VRAM).
Temporal Anti Aliasing is okay.
Cool! Like I’ve said, Ryse seems to be pretty well optimized.
But in a first person game like KCD I would prefer having stable 60 FPS.
I have MSI GTX970 Gaming. Should be ok
If the game is well optimized we will have no problems, also first person uses less GPU than third person because you dont need to render yourself. Also 3rd person views tend to have slightly more FOV than 1st person.
We also claim FOV sliders!!!
Yes, but you need a different rendering or streaming technique since there are way more objects to calculate in an open world environment. Ryse consists of pretty linear levels with a predefined path.
Optimizing is usually harder for open world games than for linear games. That’s also the reason why the best looking games are usually linear games or at least games with limited areas.
Uses the same engine, I think it will perform superb.
The engine itself should manage the workloads and drawing distances. I was also worried about BF3/BF4 (Frostbite 3) open levels (they are huge and no way you will load the whole level in the video RAM) but 1Gb VRAM video cards managed it pretty well. Lets see how it goes.
This game should run also well on Xbone and this engine showed us how optimized it is. Not everything is “horsepower”. They also said you will need similar hardware to PS4 and I think a GTX970 is double than a PS4 can achieve.
We have seen the huge VRAM needed for Shadow of Mordor (6Gb) and in 1080p I cannot see the difference between High and Ultra (I mean in textures) in that game.
Cryengine is much more than them.
Waiting for the Alpha?
EVGA GTX Titan, I know there’s no way I’m replacing it by the time KC launches because it cost too damn much money, and I need to get some more out of it.
I wonder how Mac computers will perform with this game…
GeForce GTX 560 Ti.
While waiting for payday…
Zotac GTX 670 @ 4GB VRAM
waiting …
for the next proper Nvidia chips;
970/980 are not good enough!
why is the 970 for example not good enough?
or do you want to say its not good enough performancewise meaning that it wont be that much better than your actual card
Good enough = Star Citizen with triple screen at 1080p / Ultra / 60fps
Exactly.
The performance boost wouldn’t be enough to justify the purchase.
I’ll just wait till next year when the next Nvidia cards will hit the shelves and Kingdome Come is nearly finished.
No, I’m not interested in Sci-Fi Space Flight Sims.
Kingdom Come in UHD @ 60+ fps should suffice.
This is scaring me. I don’t have money for upgrade.
My GPU is not so bad - GTX760 … but CPU is very old - Q6600.
I can play games like Far Cry 3 , but watch dogs isn’t so smooth, I had to low details and resolution and is still pain to play
I have two GTX 780s in SLI.
Watch Dogs is a pain even with high end hardware. Not using the GPU to its full potential and eating lots of VRAM.
