What's Everybody Playing Right Now?!

Just started the Outer World……. Not overly impressed with the game so far, hopefully the storyline picks up. Graphics are good, controls and fluid. Combat is nothing to write home about. Fallout 4 was a better game (IMHO).

I’m gonna try again today but pretty disappointing that I had to download it for almost three days with such result.
W3R is surely worth the try if you never played it. I personally love the classic but not WoW. At least cinematics are always nice to look at.

RDR2 on PC will be a hot mess for months. just because. i really liked many of the mechanics/design features of RDR2. problem for me was when it came to free play, that really doesn’t come until the end and then the land is largely denuded of interesting threats (you killed them all).

if you suspend progress (intentionally ignore pressing issues facing you), you can free play but it’s perverse because of what i mentioned parenthetically and you get blocked off from about 1/3 of the world map

RDR2 online? it’s ok. has some (very) interesting content but just not keen on dealing with griefers. not because i don’t like to fight. but because disinclined to knowingly spend time playing with disproportionately more assholes than those that one typically deals with in real life. (if i want killing, i’m going to play Hell Let Loose)

long story short - really like RDR2 but won’t be back for a visit unless i get a hankering for hunting or ‘old west’ simulator

Yeah okay i believe that the game is very good in features and in mechanics but it is a shame after so long time and a pc release that it will need many many many month before i can play it. I am asking myself everytime, why must every developer doing the same shit (but slower) like Ubisoft! Before RG will made it smooth in performance and everything, i guess i already playing something other. Then I prefer to play The Long Dark a fourth time rather than wasting my time for a game from people whose job it seems to kidding people. Or i will replaying something which is definitelly older. Max Payne 1 with ESRGAN textures and German Sub+Dub (which is a very very awesome work for a third party voice act)
So maybe next summer. The weather these days would perfectly support the atmosphere while playing.
But before that happens they need to do some magic work!

‘the donkey’ has a lot more work to do before next summer  … i hope. and btw, good luck at trying to find a new place

Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville, it’s such a simple one for a day off with friends. You can also play with up to 24 people in multiplayer which turns the game into a total meat grinder

I finished 1st chapter of RDR2. It ran smooth for most time, only when I travelled through countryside, it dragged a little.

Can someone help me in finding the right batch command to open this window with settings,

I’ve tried several sentences and words to find something on google but hell, thank you to these arseholes from Microsoft and her shity bastard Windows 10 GUI Shell Shit!

The Firewall manager? Try firewall.cpl

Run command list: https://www.pcsteps.com/1675-run-command-complete-list-windows/

Yes but the *.cpl name didn’t open the preferred window. I’ve tried it with -mmc as addition too but nothing

I did two play throughs of Greedfall. Great story. Replay not so great.

Came back to KCD today after probably a year or more of not touching it. Apparently still have mods installed (cannot even recall the directories on those or how I can see what they are . . . ah well! its all good!). Noticed I had three playlines all on hardcore (and probably all with the min of 2 handicaps). One playline had 115 hr and one had 93 hr and I’m sure Henry was a Colossus in both of them. The third on was apparently a start I had initiated the last time I launched the game, 20 min play or something.
So, I decided to delete #3, and start a fresh hardcore with ALL handicaps and re-experience the game as a whole–and with all the DLC, which I had never really got far enough along to experience before!
Once more to Bohemia!

I’m guessing those two older, modded playlines with ~90 to ~120 hours are not going to be useable at this point, mainly because: several of the mods I had installed back in the day are no longer enabling successfully using “Joew’s Mod Manager” app. I had a look yesterday at directory structures and it appears that the best practice with this game is to have a child directory inside one’s KCD directory.
mine looks like:
H:\longstringgarble\Steam\steamapps\common\KingdomComeDeliverance\Data\mods
That makes sense, though I’m not 100% positive this is the file structure that is being used with the latest “mod tools” or whatever it is that Warhorse released recently. I’ll likely get to that point and figure that out too . . .
Anyway, if anyone with any experience with trying to load older saves with now defunct mods has an experience on how that tends to impact game integrity I’d appreciate hearing about that. I’ll leave those playline save directories alone for now, but if I think they are corruptamundo I’ll just erase them i guess.
It seems I have (once again) the bare minimum of mods functioning that I absolutely need to be able to play this game with out going insane and vomiting on my cat:
A_Sorted_Inventory
EastyToSeeHerbs
FoV Mod
Instant_Herb_Picking (Jesus Christ be praised . . .)
Motion_Sickness_Begone
I think I’ll shop Nexus a bit and see if there is anything else that sounds appealing and start a new hardcore and see if I can finish this game for once!

A very stupid question, but are there some graphic cards which cant longer used on windows 7?
I found some on the web where the data table is Windows 10, but on the AMD driver homepage i can download a one for 7?

Not positive. However, Win 10 did introduce a new version of DirectX. 11 I think. One thing I’m fairly clear on: an application built only for DirectX 11 cannot function on Win 7. Supposedly this is something inherent to the differences in architecture of the two OS, but I I’m a bit skeptical of that. I would imagine IF Microsoft was financially insented enough they could patch DirectX 11 into Win 7, though it may not perform very well, so it seems very unlikely that would ever happen.
Now as to VGA, generally they are backward compatible so I would think that the most recently produced VGAs would be able to handle not only DirectX 10 but every previous version and all the predecessor tech of the DirectX too. I may be wrong there however, as it may be that the “backward compatibility” is more a function of the OS itself, and in effect, the OS takes the data from an app that was originally written for (for example) DirectX 9 and updates it to the version the VGA wants. Based on my fairly limited knowledge of Win OS, that type of thing is happening constantly whenever we run an older app which was originally built for older graphics drivers or VGAs.

And why is there DirectX 11 marked in my dxdiag in Windows 7?
I guess you’re talking about DirectX 12?

Lately I’ve been playing the PC version of Red Dead Redemption 2, that’s pretty much it. I quit playing KCD a few months ago, just got burned out on it and needed a break. I never finished the game but I did get quite far, I still have my saves. Maybe one of these days I’ll get back to it.

Win10 introduced DirectX 12. Win7 introduced DirectX 11 and is not supporting DirectX 12.
