When is the graphic issues from patch 1.6 gonna be addressed on consoles

Ok the graphics have never been good on consoles, but since the last patch its horrible. whereas before it was just some pop ins and slow texture load, now walls/doors/city walls and part of the map just don’t load at all.

Yk I could not understand why my reputation was dropping in in certain towns and I was constantly getting arrested for murder, I thought something was just bugged, but I now know what has been happening (especially on the road from Rattay to the mill) Turns out the npc’s walking that road (and in other areas) are not rendering in so im basically riding over them and killing them with my horse. hence why im be arrested for murder. So im basically riding over invisible npc’s (that have not rendered in yet) due to the shite the last patch has caused.
Sure im trying to be more carful now but it made my reputation take a hard knock

I agree with what you say. I am playing on PS4-pro but also have experienced playing this game on a XoneX. The results is the same regarding the horrible issues with character and even castles and houses being invisible and then just poppin.

This issue goes hand in hand with the fact that clothes and armour do not get dirty or bloody. People defend the game and says it is only aesthetics, but that is a horrible way of trying to defend the game. If aesthetics is not important, WH could make all weapons look like a sword but write mace and change the stats…

All of this worked so much better in 1.5 I would go so far as to say that the 1.6 update actually broke the game in some areas, mostly the ones already mentioned. The 1.6 update took away many of the things that makes this game so great, the graphic do dot need to be great on my console but the 1.6 update did not improve th visuals and still it lags more while riding into a “city” or a village. The no dirt or blood on my armour after a battle is really destroying immersion and I hope they can fix this or let me roll back the game to 1.5 because this is not the game I bought and love.

So i play on a x box one x and on a old day one xbox the old day one x box its horribal but on the one x its 100 times better its still give some loade or pop inn problems but i play slow and never riding in town areas whit full speed like whit a car you not want too drive 100 km /h in town .

Works fine for me and looks amazing. Are you sure your expectations are not too high?

I love kcd and its in my opinion game odf the year 2018 and posibel 2019 i love the slow way too play it i dont rush anything i check out my victims find the best place and time too get what i want and that it give some bugs never mind they work harDe on them and i enjoy the game a lot on my x box one x in 4 k

My expectations is that updates should improve the game and not degrade the game. Loved the game in 1.5 despite some derpy stuff but 1.6 ruined the immersion with the issues I already told about.

I’m glad it works fine for you. I just grabbed some screen shots from my ps4 pro

Now I have to deal with this since the patch (bearing in mind that it was not much better prior…but anyway )

So mmmmm I dunno maybe my expectations are to high, maybe unlike you I’m not satisfied with sub par low end graphics for this game, when clearly my console can provide me with graphics from other games that do meet my expectations

It’s not so bad on the X. Still needs fixing a lot but so much better than all the other consoles. Maybe that upgrade they mentioned was worth it? :joy:

I do agree with you, though Warhorse Studios is not Square Enix, so the comparison with FFXV is hard to make, but I see your point when it comes to what the console can output/display.

On the other hand, CD Projekt Red has not an enormous team either and they achieve an amazing level of quality. The Witcher 3 knew his share of bugs/issues during its first year, so I can cope with Kingdom Come Deliverance issues for the time being since the game has been out only for barely 5 months now.

Yeah I totally get what your saying. I don’t expect it to perform like those games entirely, it is what it is. But it was not in this current state prior to the patch. I’m ok* with what it was prior to the patch, it just annoys me when somebody will come chime into a thread asking if my expectations are to high, when clearly I was happy with what I had prior to the patch, now this graphic nonsense is happening all over.

The Witcher 3 graphics did not change much at all from it initial release on console. But WH seems to either break something with bugs or make the graphics worse with each patch lol

Do not despair my friend, they will fix it eventually. I would assume they have a priorities list, but I ignore if it is at the top for now.

I wish one of their developers would answer this question and when they expect to have the next patch out. This would at least reassure us.

This is all I ask for! WH coming out and tell us an approximation of when this bugs can be looked at and fixed.

Seems like it’s better to speak to WH via Twitter lol.

Thanks for asking WH on Twitter. It is a platform together with Facebook that I am trying to avoid. I am like an old grumpy neighbor that tell all youngsters to keep off my lawn.

Lol I just created the account to see what would happen. I don’t do Facebook either. Was quite surprised they replied so quick. It took me like 10 minutes to figure out how to tweet. I’m used to using official forums, but the devs don’t seem to frequent here.

Sad but true that the “official” forums nowadays are not that official when it comes to communicating with customers and fans. This is not criticism of WH only, most developers and companies seems to prefer Facebook and Twitter sadly. But once again, thanks for taking your time and getting that answer from them!

Yeah well in the least they are acknowledging that there is an issue and are working on it. I usually ask my younger sister to tweet stuff for me lol, but she not around ATM

People are so rude to wh on here tho, can you blame them?

Today, WH support replied to my popin email. They wanted to know if popins and rain were still an issue. They are.

Patience is warranted when they show respect.

There’s been a lot of grousing about console performance by users, and there’s been a lot of extolling the beauty of KCD and its PC performance by Daniel and others. WH needs to show more respect to console users by coming clean with its plans for addressing console performance.

An excerpt of my reply to WH:
Whatever you do, be candid. If you aren’t, you could lose console players in the future.

The saving grace is that I spend most of my time exploring the land and hunting bandits and Cuman. I now have nearly 800h in 2 playlines. I don’t say this to seek recognition. I say this to add context to what I’m going to say next. If KCD were more city centric and suffered at the current level or worse, I’d probably quit playing. All the beauty of KCD is undermined with the pervasive popout popin waves.

Unless KCD performance suffers even further, I’ll gladly buy all the DLCs. But what’s next? Whether I buy the next WH console game depends on improvements in KCD console performance and WH’s communication should this not come to pass.
