90+ Hours of my life gone

Most people here acknowledge that the game has issues that need to be fixed. I mean, we know that’s the case. Nobody is claiming it’s a perfect game whether they’ve been fortunate enough to miss anything crippling in-game or not. However, it is a game that’s doing things no or very few others have tried to do, and there’s quite a bit that’s worth sticking around for once certain problems are solved.

While it sucks that anyone has to deal with that, especially when it comes to save files being lost, that doesn’t give anyone free license to come in and trash the entire game, the developers, and so on and act like they’re only out to make a fast buck with no intentions of improving your experience. That’s a dishonest and inaccurate position to take.

You’re also being unreasonable in resorting to the ridiculousness of questioning how much people with a POV that’s contrary to yours are being paid, or whether they’re Warhorse employees. If that’s where you’re going to take this, there’s no further reason to engage you in any conversation whatsoever.

I never back up save games I must trust the console to much

Some ridiculous complaints in this thread. Even with the bugs, this game is still one of the best games of the last 10 years. Is it frustrating when the game crashes and you lose 90 minutes - or 90 hours - of progress? Sure. But whereas I’d just stop playing a game like Skyrim that has nothing compelling about it beyond the graphics, I keep coming back to KCD and replaying bits because I still have lots of things that I want to do and see in the game.

Moaning that it’s all about the money is silly: for developers like this to have a chance in the current market, they need to price their games competitively so that they can continue making new games and new content for this game. I for one hope that KCD is just the first in a long line of historical non-fantasy RPGs from WH studios.

I have 0 regrets about paying full price for KCD on release, and in fact wish I’d gone ahead and paid more for the collector’s edition on pre-order.

Me to love historical rpg I think they’ll make it far if not I’ll never play agame again aha

Couldn’t agree more that warhorse armour is th :honeybee: knees

Your earlier post does not reflect your statement now. You put it on the consumer.

It seems that you’re saying we aren’t allowed to criticize the game that we paid for and are unhappy with. And your naïve if you don’t think this isn’t about the money. I’m happy that they intend to improve the experience. But when is that going to happen for the console? A month? Maybe 2? Are they going to add new content with the patch or just fix what’s already broken. It’s like finishing a book and then having the typos fixed. What should I do with the game I paid for and cant play?

When was I questioning how much people are being paid? Is it some secret that WH sold a million copies at $60 a piece? Don’t put words in my mouth.

Ban inc. Seems like I hurt a WH employees feelings.

Dude, yeah, it’s a good game, but seriously, I’ve invested 65 hours of gameplay and now I probably have to start all over again. Can you imagine that being not so nice? I have a job and life outside of gaming so I can’t just sit on my computer all day long playing. This is investment in my part, I’ve spend money and time on it and I think I have the right to say if I’m angry about the fact they released a game which has some pretty groundbreaking bugs in it.

Ridiculous as they may seem to you, it does not make them any less valid.

Please remember that not everyone had your fun experience with the game.

It would help if you paid attention to what I said. I clearly stated that if someone had a save get corrupted, they should back their saves up. The person I said that to explained he didn’t want to (or couldn’t) use cloud saves and when it was suggested he use a flash drive, he scoffed at spending a few dollars on one and apparently didn’t want to use any he already had.

If someone is going to take that kind of attitude, continues to play the game, and loses another save while Warhorse is working on things, then yes - that’s his fault for not using the tools at his disposal and continuing to risk the same thing happening again.

That is all that point was about.

As for what people are being paid, see #14 from your earlier comment, then your PS. You’re acting like we work for Warhorse. Stop doing that.

I for one have Steam cloud sync on, but that didn’t save me. My save files are still all corrupted, tried to change them all but it didn’t help a bit.

Lol, that’s all I can say to you. Your argument is that you can’t complain about anything so it’s invalid.

Oh I can complain my friend my butt is itching but I don’t feel like scratching it

So that nobody to blame but yourself. No excuses line wasn’t targeted at the consumers who expected, I don’t know, to be able to save the game without having to back up?
Regardless, back up, no back up, the point is moot. It should not have been released with a broken save mechanic. That’s on the devs. No one else.

This quote? Should I just use fanboy instead?
I don’t see the money part. Don’t make things up to try and prove your point.

If you work for a company, you’re getting paid by them. That’s how it works.

Since you insist on being obtuse here regarding that and the save matter, I have nothing further to say to you.

Cool. I WIN!!!

Sure, that sucks, and I get your frustration, but unless you were only going to play through it once, why not just have a break for a few days then take this opportunity to start fresh and focus on a different way of playing?

In all honesty, though, my response was more aimed at @Hexxem and his ramblings after he basically took over the thread with his crazy accusations.

This reply should definitely be pinned for the PlayStation people having the save issue. Didn’t realize you could do that. Will it work the same on Xbox?

Lol. Make some mushroom tea I’ll be over shortly lol.

I’ve got around the same amount of time but am considering starting over just to make some different choices like not kill the executioner so Rattay likes me and I can do some of those missions earlier instead of having to wait till my rep is up. At the amount of time at least we have a good understanding of the game and probably will do much better a second play through. Not down playing your issue just trying to help u feel better about it. After all most of us will agree it is a wonderful game when it works as intended.
