From the ashes is boring and way too short

I don’t understand why you say there is no grindstone ? even before upgrade there is one. its on the left side in the corner by the forge

Mine disappeared after it upgraded for some reason.

Yeah, one of the two upgrades to the blacksmith shop accidentally removes the grindstone. The next patch is correcting this oversight.

This would be a great thing indeed. Then I would have use for the armour that I have plundered instead of just selling.

I actually managed to get about 21 hours in the DLC; however, I had at most 5k groschen saved up when I started the DLC, so had to spend quite a bit of time getting more. Once the earnings outran the expenditure did I start to see a return on my profits as well as a quickest conclusion to doing the initial build of the town.

I didn’t mind it. Since I didn’t have a lot of cash, it took some time raiding bandits to get the cash
for it, which was fun. My only disappointment, was it was the obvious time to bring Teresa back into
the story as Hals wife; which they didn’t seem to have thought of. I really expected that, and it
was the main reason I bought the DLC, to tidy up that story.

I think the ashes DLC was a reaction to the constant posting for a player home and rebuilding someplace.
So they did a quick and dirty DLC and thought ok we did what they wanted and moved on. BUT NOT what we meant and are surprised/ not understanding at the reaction and are backpedaling and ducking the poo thrown their way.

I figured out a way to get the other half of the DLC. If you steal from the Cobblers and the tailors you sell it to the armorsmith and inn. But of course you have to accept less profit as usual as they have less money. Now they have the goods and will sell it. Easy fix, just need some lockpick skills.

i find the stork nest atop the Pribyslavitz Rathaus and the Rattay bailiff proclamation about Skalitz refugees relocating to be mocking. Theresa can’t relocate (can’t even be invited). Neither can Alex, Antonia, etc
Right now, I wish WH would refine ashes and KCD itself before moving on to Capon’s love life.

I bought the DLC thinking" ahh a home for my unfortunate neighbors and the village would be filled by them" …WRONG!

Can’t invite your Skalitz neighbors
Can’t defend against bandit/Cuman attacks with your troops
Can’t attack bandit/Cuman camps in surrounding area with your troops
Can’t escort your merchants to prevent more stuff getting robbed
Can’t bathe, launder or fix clothes and shoes at your ‘home’
Can’t place your kit (one set of armor, shield and weapons) on display racks whilst you sleep in your ‘home’
Can’t place one or two goblets, books and skins from your travels in your ‘home’
Can’t talk to the fellas down at the tavern whilst you down Pribyslavitz Boar
Can’t engage them in a mini game (drinking/talking)
Can’t get a proper desk and receiving area in the Rathaus
Can’t fill in a couple of the vacant spaces within Pribyslavitz
Can’t erect a simple fence around the hamlet
Can’t build the weir that the Locator mentioned and can’t upgrade the dilapidated foot bridge (the one Henry likely used to infiltrate the nest of enemies)

Personally, wish that WH would add (much of) the content above before creating another DLC

And prolly won’t be done :sob::face_with_symbols_over_mouth::angry:
let alone all the baker AND the butcher. AND the other common missing merchants

All of the things on your list sounds amazing, it really shows how much better this DLC could have been. Even with a minimum of attention and extra work from WH, I sincerely do think that Pribyslavitz will never feel like a “home” without a bathhouse and a tailor.

I also feel that my house in my “home” could at least have a room that was Henry’s and Henry’s alone. If I am allowed to dream a little I would also like the idea of Henry and Theresa being married in the Pribyslavitz church and then being able to have a proper house.

Now I am ranting but the church even when it is fully upgraded looks like shit, we should be able to change the favela style bell tower to a one made of stone and looking less like it was built by a seven year old in his parents backyard.

Not giving up voice and not giving up hope

If structures can’t be added (for whatever reason), then at least the services should be available

If a bathhouse gets put in, then I hope WH implements the weir the Locator mentioned. Otherwise the water demand outstrips the supply

To avoid a Preston Garvey cycle, WH could enable a ‘protection’ pay off. If payment made, banditry on Pribyslavitz shipments and inhabitants cease. Cease payments, and have to defend. Etc

I agree, they do not need to build a specific building for the bathhouse or tailor. Hell, the bath maids and the tailor can sleep in Henry’s room anyway since there are like four beds in that room.

With that said, I would still prefer if Henry got his own room and there was a possibility to build separate buildings for the bathhouse and the tailor. I personally cannot see why these buildings would be that difficult to implement in the game.

… the candlestick maker?

On the subject of candles, it would be good to have a use for all those candles you can steal from the monastery

Edit: maybe use them as a very temporary world marker for you to keep track of your path at night. I imagine this is particularly needed in hardcore mode.

You mean like placing a French altar candle in the Rathaus and lighting it? Or, prominently displaying that gold cross that made its way into your bag? Or, putting them in the presbytery since the priest has none of that stuff

Both of those things would be good.

Or using them as little markers when walking the woods at night if you lose your way.
