How Dare You Charge 60 Dollars for a Game in This State

FO4 quick save functionality was corrupt even many months after release

Actually games like skyrim even encouraged you to save often. So we’ve been trained to never take risks, because there is no risk. So now people are having to change their way of thinking in order to succeed. Managing risk is a lesson inadvertently taught by this game

Reading comprehension pal. I didn’t say you kids got together I clearly stated you copy/paste each others bugs to your ever growing list. I found it funny how the crying kids in here all have the same game breaking bugs not just one bug but every single one ever mentioned.

I expect a reasonable amount of bugs. By reasonable i mean nothing game breaking, such as the problem I and a lot of other people have had with saving. I also expect that the bugs will be relatively scarce, I shouldn’t run into 5-30 bugs during a two to three hour play session like I am now. I’ve never played a game where I run into bug after bug after bug. A game should never be released in the state KCD was released in. This is after two massive patches and a hotfix mind you.

The current state of the forums.

Ok, you got me…you didn’t say we physically got together. Your point is the same though. You’re saying that we are all copying/pasting what other people have said and falsely claiming it’s happened to us. Sorry pal, I don’t have the time, nor do I care enough to read pages of forums so I can falsely trash a game. I was playing last night for about 4 hours and after losing nearly all progress because of fake saves for the third night in a row AND having a quest break on me, I got pissed off as f*ck and came here to post. There is no bug copy/pasting cabal bud. You just look silly.

I know, it’s going to sound like I am trying to save your experience with the game(get it?) but let me redirect you to this, in all kindness https://www.nexusmods.com/kingdomcomedeliverance/mods/1

Thank me later, if you haven’t uninstalled or refunded the game yet. Of course.

I know about the save mod, but I’m choosing not to get or use it at this point. I’m in no danger of uninstalling the game or whatever. You probably meant that for someone else.

If this is your most regretful purchase than your life is fucking amazing.

Skyrim cost around 80 million to develop and market.

Nice fictitious numbers there… try KCD 5 million, Skyrim 85 million.

But skyrim cost less to buy at launch.

Skyrim is also how many years old!?

This game is always compared to skyrim but I find it funny because a game 7-8years old shouldn’t be able to sit in the same boat as a game created today. If anything it’s a compliment to skyrim that it’s still being used as a marker for standards of games.

So if the budget of KCD is used as an excuse for its poor quality and overall unfinished buggy feeling then why wasn’t it sold cheaper? When they decided to sell it at triple A price they lose all right to use the budget as an excuse. Standard business practise ain’t it, the more expensive something costs to produce the more expensive it should cost to buy. If KCD 16x less to produce over skyrim then were they just being greedy selling it for exactly the same price as a game with an 85million budget? Specially when it’s in such a state? It’s an indie beta at best, £30/$40 may have been fair, even then considering the cost to produce was so significantly less compared to real AAA games that would have still given them a high profit margin. Too greedy and too buggy has caused a lot of hate.

You’re just going to get bashed by the fanboys on here honestly.

I’m loving this game and have had only a few real issues but I totally agree that to charge $60 for a game released in this state smacks of greed and poor management. So many of these bugs are obvious on any playthrough that I question whether they even had bug testers.

Guys again, it’s not only a matter of “price”, but also a matter of overall product quality at launch.

Oh they have bug testers… it’s us…they got paid millions to allow us to do if for them lol! I get that we are the best bug testers and we’re bound to find the most bugs but to charge us soooo much for the pleasure stinks. No other industry I know of can get away with charging its customers to quality test its products…

I would have been fine if they charged us 30 bucks for a pre release game.

Yeah. It feels abit like a Microsoft preview program game. It’s fine when they say your paying to play a game that’s still in development. I bought Conan Exiles and Ark via preview program and they were soooooo bad but it’s fine because I chose to risk it. This game was a huge risk but with no warning and a hefty price tag.

You better play something else and wait a couple of months, when the game is more stable.
