But skyrim cost less to buy at launch.
Skyrim is also how many years old!?
This game is always compared to skyrim but I find it funny because a game 7-8years old shouldn’t be able to sit in the same boat as a game created today. If anything it’s a compliment to skyrim that it’s still being used as a marker for standards of games.
So if the budget of KCD is used as an excuse for its poor quality and overall unfinished buggy feeling then why wasn’t it sold cheaper? When they decided to sell it at triple A price they lose all right to use the budget as an excuse. Standard business practise ain’t it, the more expensive something costs to produce the more expensive it should cost to buy. If KCD 16x less to produce over skyrim then were they just being greedy selling it for exactly the same price as a game with an 85million budget? Specially when it’s in such a state? It’s an indie beta at best, £30/$40 may have been fair, even then considering the cost to produce was so significantly less compared to real AAA games that would have still given them a high profit margin. Too greedy and too buggy has caused a lot of hate.
