How Dare You Charge 60 Dollars for a Game in This State

What quest requires you to lock pick?

I like the idea of the save system, as I am a big save-scummer in games and the system in KCD mitigates this to an extent. It is the first game in years where I have actually gone large chunks of time without saving and enjoyed it much more than constantly clicking on quicksave after every encounter.

However, the “Save & Quit” should have probably been a feature since the beginning (and it was at some point in development, then it got dropped, dunno why). Also, when you make a save system like this, you really need to ensure that the whole experience is as bug and problem-free as possible which is definitely not the case here.

I look at KCD and WH perhaps erroneously as an investment in the path less traveled. (allusion to a Robert Frost poem). they’ve invested a crap ton. to me, it’s worth investing my time to help out in a little way (by reporting bugs/design issues, etc) . if WH turns the corner on KCD, it’ll show the bigs that there’s a viable market outside the cookie cutter detritus of dragons and magic. isin’t that worth $60?

I personally like having to plan a mission a little. Gotta make saviors, bards, rage, and vitality potions. And im on console

Finally, a non-casual console player!

I’ll add that not being able to save whenever I want (unless I use Saviour Schnapps) affects the way I play. I can’t just blindly run into a place and hope to come out of it unscathed, at least not at this stage of the game, and simply reload a save from a couple minutes ago if it goes poorly.

I have to think more about what I’m going to do, how close I am to a bed I can use, what my hunger level is, how much food I have, if there are any encounters I might have to deal with, etc. I guess some people don’t like needing to factor things like that in, but I do.

Now, I’d be a little upset if I’d gone an hour or so since my last save and the game suddenly crashed on me, but if that happens there isn’t much I can control about it.

And frelmedieval, I look at it as me helping bring a game I wanted to play to life, helping make it happen. Given that, I’m willing to live with some warts as long as they - or at least the biggest ones - can be fixed in a reasonable amount of time. It’s not a perfect situation, but it’s something I can handle. Having it based in more of a real-world setting was worth taking the chance on.

flashfire: i look at it more as if you’re gong to restrict my saves then your save system better damn well be reliable or i’m gonna be livid. it’s not reliable. WH appears to have dropped the ball on this

I really want to like this game but I have had one crash and 3 times got stuck on infinite loading screens.

I’m on PS4 and played full price for the game. Still can’t get past early stages as keep hitting loading bugs.

Just frustrated now

I think from what ive seen, ps4 is the most screwed up

And not knowing and making stress testing adjustments per known, public FO4 save related issues on PS4 is a lack of foresight

Wait a month or two to see how the bug fixes go, then refund.

A full playthrough without bugs was awesome for me. Except for the stairs and the rooms that you can enter, but can’t exit.

I think a save working is a pretty basic thing. I think other bugs are affecting saves

For me, those same glitched doors were “unglitched” after restarting the game.

FO4 quick save functionality was corrupt even many months after release
FO4 - fallout 4

Bethesda, Bethesda, bethesda … Shame shame.

Actually games like skyrim even encouraged you to save often. So we’ve been trained to never take risks, because there is no risk. So now people are having to change their way of thinking in order to succeed. Managing risk is a lesson inadvertently taught by this game

Reading comprehension pal. I didn’t say you kids got together I clearly stated you copy/paste each others bugs to your ever growing list. I found it funny how the crying kids in here all have the same game breaking bugs not just one bug but every single one ever mentioned.

I expect a reasonable amount of bugs. By reasonable i mean nothing game breaking, such as the problem I and a lot of other people have had with saving. I also expect that the bugs will be relatively scarce, I shouldn’t run into 5-30 bugs during a two to three hour play session like I am now. I’ve never played a game where I run into bug after bug after bug. A game should never be released in the state KCD was released in. This is after two massive patches and a hotfix mind you.

The current state of the forums.

Ok, you got me…you didn’t say we physically got together. Your point is the same though. You’re saying that we are all copying/pasting what other people have said and falsely claiming it’s happened to us. Sorry pal, I don’t have the time, nor do I care enough to read pages of forums so I can falsely trash a game. I was playing last night for about 4 hours and after losing nearly all progress because of fake saves for the third night in a row AND having a quest break on me, I got pissed off as f*ck and came here to post. There is no bug copy/pasting cabal bud. You just look silly.
