How Dare You Charge 60 Dollars for a Game in This State

I played other rolepalying games before too…
the point is: why do I release a game thats obviously that undone? We waited for 5 years, 6 months more wouldnt have hurt that much i think. I believe you got my post wrong, maybe because my bad englisch or just because I just stated everything bad. To be honest, if I stated all the good things I would have filled like 3 pages

3 nights in a row, that sucks. If that happened to me I would probably find Vávra’s private address and use this service: https://www.darujhovno.cz/

On the other hand, you knew from any review that it is buggy.

You knew that the developers are aware of it, they apologized for it, and they are working hard to remedy it.

So I can’t help myself but tell you I am sorry for your 1st night experience, but the second and third is on you. You should have either requested refund or simply put it aside until the patch arrives in the upcomming weeks.

This game was released too soon in un unfinished state even with day one patch, that’s all. There is no point arguing it’s not true. Some will be angry, others will take it more easy and I understand both, personnaly I enjoyed the game much, I completed it and even if I’m not satisfied with the ending it was a good moment.

For me it’s not only a matter of price in fact, ask three different people how much they will buy this game and you will have three different prices.

It’s merely a matter of global product quality regarding price paid, I understand this guy, you will found similar posts and topics on reddit, steam etc…people are indeed complaining paying 60$ for un unfinished product and they are right.

It’s the same as going to buy a car full price and while driving it doen’t respond well and you crash yourself in a tree. After that even if your car seller is trying to reassure you and ensure you that he will repair, it’s already too late.

They should have been less ambitious or at least sell this game cheaper.

You were not buying Corolla from Toyota. This is not run-of-the-mill game but a game with a high number of unique mechanics that have not been utilized before brought by a new studio.

Using car analogy makes sense here only if you talk about Tesla Model S, and we all know that it took Tesla quite some time to deliver cars that are without any issues.

Played destiny too and just started the division yesterday while waiting on KCD to get patched. It’s true that massive games take time to improve, played many mmos before.
The thing is how can you have fun, if everything is way too easy? I mean beating the first boss with just one quick hit? Having thousands of gold and the best gear when you were a poor mans son just a few days ago by joining some skirmisch with the local army? I get your post and I agree in everything. But that fun factor doesn’t count up or better: I don’t want to spoil the whole game by beeing in „godmode“ so i patiently wait for WH to fix

How many times have you whingers bought skyrims many ports and goty edition over and over just so you could play it with all the cotent or at a higher resolution + godrays for console._.

Except…it’s nothing like that whatsoever with a video game. You’re talking about a scenario where you spend thousands of dollars on something vital to your everyday life and it gets wrecked because of some defect, potentially injuring you in the process. Now, the potential injury aside, if the seller does make it right at no extra cost to you, in the end you ARE getting the problem fixed minus the initial trouble you had.

A video game is a form of entertainment and art. No more, no less. It is a diversion from the more important things we do with our lives. Sometimes a game doesn’t live up to the expectations set for it. Sometimes it blows you away. Sometimes it takes time to correct things. If you don’t want to risk paying $60 and being disappointed, wait. Wait for the reviews to come out. Wait for the problems to be found. Wait to see if they get fixed to satisfaction. Wait for the price to drop or buy it used. You could have done that with the car as well, for that matter.

I see the comparison you’re trying to draw, but it’s just not a very good one.

Yeah the comparison wasn’t the best I admit it  . What I was trying to do is to illustrate why this guy and many others on different forums and topic are not happy with what they have bought, they were thinking buying a final product.
As an early baker I already knew before the release that bugs would certainly be the main problem with this game and this protected me a bit when the game was finally released, even more because I followed it’s development progress during years.
But for a completely new customer that didn’t know about it it’s really hard, it’s a normal feeling for them to be angry, bugs and performance problems are not mentionned in commercials. As an exemple more precise I’ve read some minutes ago a guy who lost all his progression (5 IRL days) because all his savefiles were corrupted on his PS4, I would feel the same if it was me

The most saddest things about the new customers, that they weren’t following the development from “the beginning”, that they don’t know, how devs are feeling about this game and how Vavra “feel” about it. How many details, effort and compromises were made in its development time. I’ve bought myself art-book in steam and just by looking in it you can understand a lot. But, yeah, they’re just not ready for things like that, but it doesn’t let them to act like that also. :relieved:

This is not the problem, who cares about how vavras is “feeling” about the game? What a silly statement. No devs “feeling” about a game is relevant. What is relevant is price VS state of a game. If any feelings are to be considered in this case it is the feelings of the players and the consumers! You warhorse fan boys really argue out of your a***** some times.

I’ve just said my thought to the guy’s post. I’m not telling anyone how to think. Plus, i’m not a fan boy, cus if i was one, then i’ve defended bugs, that they do have, but instead of hating and wasting the time, i’d prefer to help them fix it by giving the content of them.

P.S By the way, be careful with strong words, might end for you bad.

And what are you suggesting, that a game that releases in a state that’s anything but completely finished should have a price drop at retail on day one?

That will happen around the time people stop buying games brand new for $60. In other words, don’t hold your breath. The most you can hope for with a lot of these games is that the updates come frequently and are of high quality. Otherwise, don’t pay full price for a game. Wait.

Erhm what strong words are you referring to? And how may it end bad for me? If people can’t take being told that their arguments are irrelevant maybe they should think twice before arguing. Arguing out of their arses is just another way of saying very bad argument. And fan boy is not a strong word it is a term.

There are different degrees of bugs in games. I know all games have issues at launch, but this game have more issues than most. Hardly playable, not near 30fps on console, just look at bug compilations. What I am saying g is, when a game I rushed and unfinished, then it is not worth same price as well polished finished games, no matter how the devs feelings is on game. No matter how new the devs are. You price a product on quality, not feelings and good ideas. And the devs have made an in depth apology of the games state, and acknowledges most of the complaints people have.

How did you get through 5th grade without knowing what a page break is?

To be fair you do sound like an entitled child so maybe you haven’t finished 5th grade.

there seems to be a lot of idiosyncratic behavior in this game. I have had a fraction of the problems of other PS4 users. Same machine, very different experiences.

with FO4, the PS4 bugs/issues others cited I had too

He isnt wrong. I tolerate the bugs, glitches and couple of poorly cast voice actors because i have dreamed about a game like this for 15 years, but many gamers will try this game and have a terrible first impression of this studio, and rightly so. This game released at a rough beta quality at best. Period. I want warhorse to succeed and make many more historical games, but releasing a title in this state at full price is embarrassing.

I cringe every time i see a mindless fanboy chime in to attack anyone who dares post their critical feedback here, its embarrassing. You white knights arent helping warhorse be their best. Im going to leave a few links to a couple KC:D bug compilations below. The problems are real and everyone knows it. Sticking your heads in the dirt and claiming otherwise doesn’t lend much credibly to those say otherwise.

On Steam discussions right now many people are complaining too, at the same time about the overall game quality and about the ending : https://steamcommunity.com/app/379430/discussions/0/

Again, don’t get me wrong, I really like this game and I also have a good time playing it but seriously, they weren’t ready to release it…they clearly weren’t :frowning:

For the moment I’m reporting as many bugs as I can to the team hoping them to correct them but I don’t know if this is still possible, there are so much of them

Of course I’m really enjoying bug compilation videos, but what a poor experience it offers for the guy playing.
