It does look great. But I have to side with StrangeCat. Even if when “released” it may not contain full nudity having it made with this in mind would be helpful for modders. It has nothing to do with the pornographic side (which is likely to come from any realistically made game.) for me it has to do with aesthetics and roleplay. For instance gambling with someone and you take everything he has. Mugging a man and doing likewise. Passing out drunk and wondering what happened, going to take a bath, going for a swim in the lake. Shocking people by running around town uncovered (likely leading to being arrested) So making the models with this in mind and making the game with this in mind. Where if you don’t released the game with nudity (which I hope you do. I always wanted to see how well a developer creation could come out instead of mods) you can apply the same effects to the permanent undergarments.
why? those things you mentioned add absolutely nothing to the game.
but, i’m pretty sure there is full nudity. in the player cusotmization video, the girl was completely nude at one point(or maybe she had tan undergarments, not sure)
and a game journalist once saw a preview where the main chaacter’s junk could be seen.
I don’t know whether the nudity will have some game purpose as you’re suggesting, but from what I’ve heard there was the possibility to strip your character completely. Whether it will be possible in the final game is a question.

I say just go for it, and have a Parental Controls feature.
Even if not, just wait for the mod tools (heh. Tools) and I guarantee that will be the first third party mod released.

Why shouldn’t there be nudity when there is also heavy violence? I don’t get it…
This hopefully will be an 18+ game so no parental control features are needed.

Yes, if this game is aiming for realism, it needs to be edgy. It needs to break all rules and conventions. There should be nudity, as long as it makes sense and isn’t tacked on just for the sake of it.

I agree, include the nudity, add a parental control feature if necessary, but make it possible, even if it requires modding tools.

I suppose it depends on distribution of the game in a way. If they distribute digitally only and selfpublished, they might be able to keep nudity in. But if they want to get retail distribution, then I would guess in the US at least they would have to limit it in some way. Just my guess though.
Still, with modding tools, it will be there sooner or later. Skyrim is full of that stuff.
Those things add a layer of realism and connection. Small things like these (getting arrested for running around naked) will be the greatest diferentiation from games like Skyrim.
I always felt like my actions had absolutely NO impact on the world whilst playing Skyrim, you can run around naked like an idiot and all you get is a little response from the population, which feels just unnatural and immersion braking…

Just in case you didn’t know: in the prototype they showed to press, there was full nudity.
clearly the system supports it…
And really… killing people with sword is ok, but a bit of nudity is not???
And before anyone complain about the picture.
Kickstarter rules require 18+ to use it. This forum is for the backers.
So naturally if you are reading this… you are 18+

Even more realistic medieval diseases with all those symptoms? Isn’t that cool?
