KCD and RPG cliches

It is obviously more cost and time effective to loot the battlefield then to repair or build new stuff

still no back up reference I can read. what I know came from watching history shows, real history. Like on the show about the finds from a battle in Gotland, An archeologist commenting that they found that the victors did not take time to strip the bodies of armor.

Food - probably, because people weren’t storing food in their pants like in KC:D. Some equipment, too. But robbing the dead is forbidden this is fact
Why I would be insane? I would say people who stripping off boots from a corpse are insane

Okay.

What is the context? Are these scenes shown as normal or some ‘evil’ characters do the looting?

so was using slings, bows, and crossbow. Did not stop it tho.
your knowledge of history is kinda thin.

Murder is forbidden but it happens every day. So, I’m not yet seeing both positions as being mutually exclusive

And murderers get punished every day

The murder rate was way higher back then and not all were caught. Some were even of high social status and untouchable.

Still not seeing the mutual exclusivity. A behaviour may be verboten by tradition or law but still in evidence

You asked for one example. I gave you four, spanning over 200 years of history surrounding the time of KCD. The practice was common, which was the point being debated. Trying to moralize the practice is moving the goalposts. But, you’re more than welcome to do some research and see if these scenes are normal, or vile.

Well war in general was less common than peace. Yet it depicted everywhere. And so we have KC:D and other games showing wars and conflicts because otherwise it would be ‘boring’ I guess. Just to note how these things work, in terms of people’s perception or something like that

look up the you tube series kings and general . you be surprised how much warfare there was in the 15th century.

War was less common? In the early 15th century? You’d be hard-pressed to find a more tumultuous time in human history.

15th century is almost 2 generations of people born, lived and died. Most of them lived simple lives and never saw real battles. War is happening constantly today, too. And not so far from the place where I live. And so what? At least I never saw people selling the loot around

that is today. you kepp dancing around history facts. . Also what war zone have you been in of late to be absolute sure ? ISOL with M16’s and Iraqi tanks…

Well I had a friend (living in Bratislava) who decided to went to Ukraine and fight for rebels. Last time when I heard about him he ws hit with a grenade shrapnel to his jaw.

Other places, other people, not me… You wish…

It annoys me somewhat that you can hear wolves, and even dogs barking when in woodland, but they’re simply not there.

Yea, honestly though people are already complaining about the save mechanic and the game in general…Imagine if they were attacked by wolves while sleeping in a camp too lol

You really should read up on your history.

As for looting…
Again all you have to do is read. This is a good example of what to read:

The Bayeux Tapestry: A Critically Annotated Bibliography

It mentions looting AS SHOWN in the tapestry (if you can’t be bothered to look it up).
