@warhorse @DrFusselpulli - Below I am going to include my constructive criticism on the save system.
Dear All, Iāve decided to give my opinion on the save system and the conduct of members here.
Firstly, Lets not insult each other by calling people casuals, noobs, try hards, elitists etc. We are a community and need to at least look into why people are having issues and ways it can be addressed without affecting the air of the game.
So my personal view on the save system is - In the case that a player can sit down and knows that they can pause and leave the game to come back to great it works brilliantly. Furthermore, the Developers have put in the game from immediately after the full tutorial (TS part i consider the end of the tutorial) access to alchemy and 30 of the rarer material for the save potion as well as in indication to how to learn to read the recipe other than using videos or pot luck.
Now I might have got lucky to within the first 7 days - Breakdown - Herbalism (monies) and bare-knuckle fighting for the first 2 days - 3rd day began travel to learn to read - 4th day arrive in town to learn to read - (Cutscene TS+2days) - 7th Day - Return to Initial Zone - Have learnt to read and can now easily make Save pots.
Issues I can see for others - if you have issues with crashes or bugs it can be frustrating, I myself was killed by a bug that launched me into the sky related to an alchemy table in another part of the world. I did have a save a while back from it but not long enough to be of any issue.
My suggestions:
I would suggest to the developers rather than making a rash insertion of SoD. I would suggest either two modes - A mode that allows Save on Exit or Save on Demand (SoE could be that once you log back in if you die etc you are reverted to the proper save beforehand).
While leaving the current iteration in as some sort of āIronmanā or Original version mode. I worry changing the save feature to much will negatively effect the Initial reason to use alchemy.
As such it opens the game for both sections of the player base. If anyone in the community has any points please reply to me.

The saving system is utterly ridiculous. Losing an hourās worth of progress because there were no autosaves and the game suddenly decides to make me fight against a very overpowered enemy. No save points nearby either. This is an extremely poor design decision, and while I understand some of the reasoning behind it, I still think itās stupid.
If you donāt allow us to save manually without using that schnapps then at least give us timed autosaves or something. Honestly, my opinion of the game is going down the longer I play. I actually regret backing this thing.

I love the save systemā¦ the problem is that the game is buggy still and i have lost 3 hours of gameplay because the game thought i was still in combat even though i had slept, done training, an archery contest, and got drunk. THAT is what they need to fix.

They will probably add a save on quit feature or something similar soon. However, I really donāt think the save system needs changing (though a lot of people disagree so I guess they should at least add the option) - you know the recipe for saviour schnapps from the beginning of the game. It takes maybe 30 minutes to make 30+ save potions ā¦

Yep this is what makes me wonder why its an issue. But then they might have missed how to learn to read.
Heās not even talking about reading in real life you muppetā¦ he is saying that your character Henry needs to learn to read before he can use recipes for alchemyā¦
So yeah, it does appear that he is smarter than all of youā¦

Well some of us havenāt gotten as far as u apparently. With all the damn game breaking bugs itās pointless at the moment. Hell Ultima IX Ascension had a ton of bugs but this game in the state itās in now makes that games issues seem minor.
So youād buy Dark Souls and demand a save too?
Wasnt this way of saving announced, crazy how you expect and demand a game to be exactly how you want it.

Not everyone has lived on the forum finding every detail. Some of us have actual lives to live outside the game worldās.
