PSN Refunds - UK

1: I am a mechanic who does body work. 2: you are comparing thousands of dollars to $60. 3: If someone try’s to do a good job and it’s not right and they are trying to make it right then I’ll have patients because as humans we all make mistakes. 4: I love gaming but it’s not my life. 5: I’m sure when everything is done I’ll be satisfied with the final product and those who used haste to get a refund would miss out on something special.

I am comparing thousands of dollars to 60. Yes i am. But that was not my point. It was to say, that if you buy a service, or a game, or an airplane, that is not working, then you have a right to a refund. Simple as that. I am sick and tired of fanboys defending a full price beta! If people are not satisfied, they should be entitled to a refund, without anyone telling them not to. And for your concern about them missing out if refunded, just buy the game anew if you along the way find the game fixed and actually worth the price. And at that time it will most probably be on sale for 20 dollars, which is a much more suitable price for a INDIE game. Problem solved.

Are you for real? I have a ps… and had a pc. There are really no difference when it comes to bugs. Horizon zero dawn for example, had it since day one, played through 2 times and NEVER encountered a bug. That’s a ps game.

Since we are in cars. To be able to qualify for a lemon law the car must not be able to be fixed after a reasonable number of repair attempts. That’s for something that cost thousands of $$. So for a refund on games I think time and repair attempts should be the same. Not a oops I bought a game I’m not good at so it has bugs and that’s my escape goat.

Better hope they fix it then. And people are not using bugs as scapegoats in this particular case. And just brushing people with concerns of as “not being good at the game”, is the same as calling them liars and cheats. That’s just not fair. But selling a game with all it’s faults and it’s bad optimization and bugs is all fine? Can’t beat the logic on that one.

My opinion is it has the making of a good game but it will only appeal to a certain type of gamer and if you watch the trailers and read some about the game you will expect something else. I believe it’s these types of people for the most part complaining about the game and trying to get refunds. I’m sure Fallout New Vegas would have many complaints if it was only a hardcore mode.

Ofcourse many people will have bought the game with a different mindset, as you say. Agree. But that fact does not negate the state of the game. As you say, it has the making of a good game, agreed. But that’s it. The making…a good idea, poorly performed, and delivered.

My biggest thing is that it’s only been 1 week. The only game I bought new and wished I didn’t was COD WW2 and that game even took a month before the server isssues were solved either way I payed $100 and maybe have 10hrs of gameplay because I moved on.

Yes, i have been saying that in many posts. Let’s hope they can fix it. All the bugs and not least, the performance. I am on ps4 and in the countryside it runs ok, but in the villages and more in the towns it has really poor fps, would say about 20 to 25. Not 30 as advertised. But fingers crossed the next couple of weeks.

Yes I’m on ps4 also and in the sticks but my DL is 200mbps and up is 24 and play in a 65" 4k HD so the game looks good imo. If I could change 1 thing in the game it would be the lockpicking and I would think the only thing that needs to be done is switch the sticks.

Literally, I just want a refund for a faulty product. That’s it. PSN users in other countries are getting this, and I am not. If you think my behavior as an upset customer who feels misled is vitriolic, that’s fine, but please know that I have exhausted literally every civil option I have, as your email system has not responded to me at all and your patches have not improved or fixed upon any game-breaking bug I have had so far.

Actually kiddo, that’s where you’re wrong. Sony specifically tells USA buyers to go talk to the developers. They literally tell you it’s not their problem and talk to the developer. I am here only because this is the last option I have for recompense.

And no, not every intelligent person wants to support your favorite indie dev, just to not recieve a working product. Please understand that nobody would be this upset on a forum if their game actually worked, okay?

I think the huge problem here is the fact the game works for some and does not for others and on the same systems. Myself and many others have bugs that simply are game breaking, whereas others do not, so they come to tell us we are childish or stupid for wanting refunds because the only bug they have seen is a pop up on PS4.

Well we haven’t just had a pop up or something small, it’s a complete lottery wether or not your game will work well with minor bugs or not at all, on any system. The Devs knew when they tested this game it was riddled with bugs, assuming it was qa tested properly which from Christians response it was. So they released this game, for an AAA price knowing it wasn’t a working product.

Now not only this, but their PR is some of the worse I’ve ever seen from a developer, when people want answers they run to the hills, if they had been more vocal on these forums about the state of the game instead of just “a patch is coming” then maybe, just maybe I would have waited. There is nothing wrong or shameful about an apology post from them saying sorry the game was released in this state blah blah I can respect that, that’s good pr.

However, I’ve been burned before by Devs who claim patches are coming, Arc: survival evolved is still a pile of steaming rubbish nearly a year after “full release” on PS4. Do you know what the Devs said last year? “A patch is coming” the truth was the game couldn’t be fixed, there was just too many bugs to fix and they couldn’t get it to run smoothly on the PS4. From MY experience on KC:D on PS4 the game has far too many bugs to fix. I had a huge list to give to Sony to make my case for a refund of bugs I encountered, more than can be fixed within a month, by an indie developer with a small team, no less.

I would do this with ANY game that was released to me in this state, it’s not a personal Vendetta against WH, but they should not be charging triple A price for this game, it is far from worth £54 (to me) as that price tag comes with certain expectations of your average gamer - a quality product that works, which it didn’t for me and many others

PSN is resisting to refund. They replied me that they have to make sure i did everything to FIX the game and gave me instructions to reinstall the game and rebuild database which is sick. I replied that the game is broken itself and shouldnt be released on console market. Thousands of players have same problems with it so its not my fault that its buggy as fuck. Wonder whats next…

I’ve been waiting for this game to be released for a long time and never thought I’d even consider asking for a refund but now I think I probably will. It seems like the further you try to progress in this game the more bugs and glitches start to appear and it wouldn’t even be so bad if they actually put out some patches that would fix these issues. I don’t even want to keep trying the main mission or even collect any new ones because I dont want to fail a timed quest all because this game is broken and they don’t seem bothered enough to get it fixed any time soon. I paid for a finished product not some half built game they threw out to “see a return on there investment”. I’m going to give it another week but if there’s no update to fix the colossal amount of issues this game has I’ll be demanding a refund

These schmucks released a game that corrupts your save files and erases hours if not days of progress and people are in here shilling for the developers F them they aren’t even acknowledging the save corruption issue or are in any way attempting to make amends to players it effected. 50 hours of gameplay wiped and you expect people like me to joylessly drudge through shit we already played a week ago only so our saves can get potentially corrupted again. Everyone should ask for a refund these people shouldn’t be in bussiness if this is how they treat the player base even EA wouldn’t stoop to the level of releasing a game that deletes all your save files without making it up to the players somehow. It would be one thing if they gave us some way of not having to start over from scratch but F them and anyone who defends their BS and get a refund. This game was supposed to be great instead this is the most frustrating gaming experience I have ever had. I have never experienced a game that deletes all of your progress in one crash this shit is unacceptable.

bethesda pulled the same thing back in skyrim for the ps3. i remember everyone was also pissed how the problem (it had something to do with saves) was never resolved till years after release.

fallout had the mod issue with sony also…

Damn, playstation is just a bad place to play massive rpgs…

@UnHappyMerchant

Dont get me started on skyrim’s save issue back in the ps3… that was also unacceptable and unresolved for years…

give the devs a chance, its not even a month yet.

I am playing on PS4 about 35 hours. No major bugs just glitches.

The problem is not only hardware here but many quests broken because some npc are missing for exemple. This is not professionnal. I wouldnt mind hardware bugs or crash (havent got any so far on PC) but i am not satisfied with the state of the game as it is, because probably poorly tested (quests problems, npc dialog loop or glitch, npc in quests missing…)
I decided to make a break from this game, because i can not progress in one buggy quest. I will wait for patches that will (hopefully) fix this.
