whoever has the previous patch saved, could i send you my save and have you get the quest then send it back? i’m not trying to re-download the game
SOME ABSALUTE GENIUS HAS CREATED A SMALL MOD THAT REVERTS 3 FILES BACK TO 1.2.5 AND THE QUEST HAS TRIGGERD.

There can be a pressure to “just get it done” and push things out the door before things are fully tested/finished/ready.
it seems we got back 1.2.2 now, everything is working atm. (from the save just before get the hoofpick)
Hmmmm. I wonder if the patch broke something. I was at the same point in the game as op, played for about 5 hrs when I got off work today and realized that the game hasn’t been saving when I sleep. When I try to drink saviors shnapps I get the message “Can’t save just now. Try again shortly”. I like the idea of how they made the save system but they should have some way to manually save through console commands or something until they fix gamebreaking bugs.
Same thing for me as well. Playing on pc after the patch, when I finished the previous quest nothing happened. It was late in the game day, so I left did other things, next morning, sold some stuff, went on a date, came back the the horse farm and found out I’m stuck.
Veryfying game data on steam should solve the problem boys.
Same here I really hope this gets fixed. I started over my game and I had actually passed this point before in my previous playthrough. I didn’t change anything in my current playthrough (I still killed the two bandits, talked to people in the same order…)
Well, now I know why I couldn’t fix it manually. The problem was in the Ginger In a Pickle quest script itself, not the script for the preceding quest.
Seems we got a rollback to 1.2.2 and now it works again!
What if I’ve allready completed The Hunt Begins? Does it start anyway or do I need to load a savegame before?
not at home to check story but i think youll find you need to check your quest list again, i forget chain but hes in woods , sounds like you not spoken to right people
As i understand, the manual fix posted allows it to pick it up from an already completed hunt. not sure about the patch rollback.
The manual fix is just a targeted rollback, so it should work exactly the same as a full reversion with regards to the quest.
