This Game is kind of Creepy

All the bugs and bad engine are creepy

The buggiest game i remember .

They died doing what they loved

Or

Two men stop hiding their love for each other during their final moments in 1403 Bohemia, colorized

I carried a corpse in the forest, down a stream for what felt like 2 miles. It was during a lightning storm at night. It was awesome to see the forest and stream light up followed by thunder when that lightning hit.

Surreal and pointless moment, but I loved it

Building on the hunting aspect would be great. Some more hunting competitions, more animals, smarter animal ai, different weather effects like some snow and deeper fog or stronger winds…

Some of the most fun I’ve had in the game is hunting up until I got a few perks that made it super easy. I also like the fact there is no reticle in the console version. That pc mod for it is for spoiled folks.

Or perhaps a ā€œSurviving the gameā€ type mode where bibles could hunt you and you get a head start. Though I’d imagine eurogamers millennial reviewer(s) would be all over it on how politically incorrect that was.

Yes. Look further, there is a shack in those woods with tortured and murdered women. Even more creepy.

I agree Grim, the game feels so empty. I wish there was so much more they would add to it. Conversations just suck, and there is nothing really to do outside of the quests.

No, not just a badger a Honey Badger! And lions, and man eating turtles, anacondas, as well a a Tasmanian tiger. As far as we know, Tasmanian tigers could’ve been in Bohemia.

On the contrary, I love how this game world is actually not overcrowded and infested with a zombie every 10 yards, where there are 600 annoying NPC per acre of forrest etc.

Like…a plausible forrest… not the overcrowded greenery other games offer.

by 1403 humans have already mostly killed off all ā€˜dangerous’ fauna…

How does it take away from the immersion if woods are what the are, ie. mostly empty?

There is currently a bug with no random encounters. It used to be super-realistic before the bug (bandits, poachers, various travellers, occasional knights, murderers, etc.) You’d get roughly 1 encounter when travelling for example from Rattay to Neuhof. You could choose to ignore it (but it wasn’t always possible).

I see no wolves, bears, cougars, literally nothing that would ever harm me as far as normal animals, not even one. The only thing I see in the woods are rabbits. This is unrealistic for ANY period of time, even when animals were hunted down to low points. A lone wolf or bear or cougar now and then would not be out of the question. But to see none of those animals at all makes no sense. And there are not enough bandits for my taste either, so Im going to use a mod to add more normal bandits and its supposed to add special ones too.

I already find the number of bandits borderline implausible. With so many robbers around that it is practically mpossible to travel from one town to the next without being robbed and hacked to pieces, society would completely collapse within a week.

Nobody with half a brain would travel an inch, goods wouldn’t be transported anywhere and people in some places would begin to starve.

Lacking travellers, the bandits would also be short on resources and encroach on the villages, and before long they’d be openly fighting, likely winnign against most small villages, and once their raided resources are up, lacking living peasants to resew and grow food, …

Well, notice how there are no traveling caravans or merchants…and how 99% I’d people you come across on the roads are either well equipped or setting a trap…once in a while it’s a riddler or a villager who needs food or whatever but in my experience those are near town edges and the in between are Cumans, bandits or villagers trying to attack you. The country is being invaded, of course everyone is staying close to town.

Also it’s a game…so unless you want everyone to die and have no respawns and be done playing in no time then you’re going to want a lot of bandits. Gotta mix realism with playability

No cougars in Europe. Wolves and bears would certainly be welcome. Apart from rabbits, the woods are currently packed with boars, roe deer and red deer, so there is quite a lot of variety already.

yeah, but I think there don’t need to be any more bandits in the game. It’s already stretching the plausibility, and sometimes running into three groups of bandits on the street from one village to the next can get a bit tedious. Or at the very least fill your labouriously freed up inventor space back again with heavy loot.

The overabundance of Cumans and Bandits are precisely the point. They’re trying to do what you’re claiming it would do - bring the area to a screeching halt economically.

I admit I have not got too far in the storyline, but I have went on some journeys into the deep woods on more than one occasion, and have never seen a boar or deer. I will keep looking!
