Who came here for a console port?

I’ve backed a handful of kick starters in the past, but have stop doing it mainly because I enjoy console gaming more than PC gaming, and before the Master race BS kicks in, I have a good rig, but I chose console as its what all my friends play… and its as simple as that.

The reason I backed this was simply because it had Xbox One Digital download, now I think this is great as its the first time I’ve seen it happen, and I hope more Kickstarter projects do this.

So anyway, I just wanted to see how many people backed it just because of the console port?

why does it matter that your friends play on consoles? this game is single player only.

ya I dont know why it matters so much to some people what others choose to play on. I like playing on my ps4 better than my pc, always have. I’m glad that this new generation of consoles is bringing more independent games that would have been pc only. The only thing that makes my buy the pc version after it has been heavily discounted is mods.

i don’t know who’ve been saying that, but personally i don’t care as long as the game doesn’t get dumbed down on account of the fact that they’re also making it for consoles.

and this isn’t the pc master race speaking, this is me speaking from experience of seeing games constantly being simplified and “streamlined” for the sake of sharing a game with the console market.

but i see that they’ve slated the console release for 2016, meaning this is going to pc first, then ported to consoles, which significantly lessens the chance of the aforementioned eventuality. though the risk is always there.

I don’t know much about this Dev, but from what I cant tell via the videos they are very passionate about this and I couldn’t see them damaging the PC side for the console market.

where do you see 2016? It says q4 2015 for pc and there is not date for consoles because they need approval from ms and sony. Does it say that some where I dont know about? Games are not dumbed down because of consoles they are simplified because they want more money by appealing to more casuals. Less specific attention has been given to pc on games seeking mass appeal because consoles sell more on these big games. You should have something against developers and (mostly) publishers that try to make extra money by killing a game. There is a stereotype of the “console market” just the same as there is one about rpgs needing magic. There is no reason for the game to be changed in anyway because it is going to a pc with set hardware. I doubt warhourse will treat the game any different if it wasnt coming to consoles.

Approval from console platform owners usually takes 3 months. So Q4 2015 for PC means Q1 2016 for consoles.

i did not. never had any console nor i ever will.
no console can handle the graphics I want.

Ports onto consoles? that’s new, I’m used to bad ports to PC. I guess it will be a bit different getting games being made for PCs first, instead of an after thought.

Hey !

I’ve also backed because of the console port. Well, not only, of course.
The game is going to be the one I’ve been waiting for from years.

However my computer will never be able to run it and I guess I won’t buy a new one in the next year… Even if I do, I will not pay it €800+ so it won’t run it either.

It is true that the approval procces takes some time but we don’t have to start it only after we launched on PC. We will try to launch simultaneously.

I too backed this project because of the console port, without that I wouldn’t be able to play this game :smiley: I’m hoping for simultaneous release on all platforms.

I’m an android user but if I noticed a topic on apple iPhone I wouldn’t comment on it saying “iOS can not handle the customisation I want”. I wouldn’t comment on that topic… And do you know why… Its because I’m not a cunt.

My preference will be to play this on a PS4 but I’ll go PC if I have to. I grew up more comfortable with a controller in my hands than navigating with a keyboard, but if I had to I could always use a controller with a PC as well. I figure I’ll be in the alpha/beta on PC as it is.

So no “master race” yet you make a thread with the sole purpose of saying that console is “better” and stirring the proverbial pot.
