I’m not getting into an argument about what’s better why because the point is that there is no need to argue. Owning a console has benefits over pc and likewise owning a pc has benefits over a console. As was elegantly put earlier it depends on the person and their preferences.
Pc master race reporting in, lol
I also participated in the project with the console port, with perhaps the hope to see a smartglass application.
I’m glad to see that even this forum can’t hide from consoles vs pc trolls. World is in perfect order.
I originally saw this game on Gameinformer in a article showing some promising games being funded on kickstarter. Once I saw Kingdome Come I was hooked, and by the time I saw this it had already been funded enough to be ported to consoles which was necessary for me since I don’t own a gaming rig. If there wasn’t a port I probably wouldn’t have backed it, so I’m really glad they did!
I agree. SmartGlass would be great for this game. Loved using it with Ryse
Certainly not me. I am a true member of the PC masterrace. Yes, all your worst prejudices about me are true.
Cheers and have a nice time with this thing you call “controller”.
Ugh… not consoles! While I’m not saying that PC’s reign supreme, I always believe ports to consoles are bad…
@Jedesis - Because that frequently means “designed for console and ‘ported’ to PC,” right?
I also fear it, but at least WH are aware of PC gamers’ concerns (see last video) and it sounds like nothing’s being adjusted/‘dumbed down.’ From what they said the console versions should match what’s expected from a ‘proper’ PC game as opposed to the other way round (I’m not personally worried about graphics, they will be great IMO, but more so the design, systems and UI).
That said, I wish they were playing the game with a keyboard an mouse - Seeing a controller used as a preference for a first person title played on PC does give me the fear!
Yes it does! I also had the same fear when Chris Roberts played Star Citizen with a Xbox controller!
I actually have trouble with full range direction without a controller…
you mouse and keyboard guys have some kind of skill that I just don’t fathom.
how are we equally stupid? i don’t own a console and never will
It goes both ways. If I have to control a camera with a stick, without aim-assist… I’m gonna play for 2 hours before i rage-quit.
Going to pick up my copy on Xbox One. Lots of good things:achievements, party chat, Game DVR, developer challenges and more!!!
The Witcher 2 plays better on my 360 than the PC version did on my PC. But hey its all preferences
All these things are available on PC. And then you have mods.
IMO both have their perks and downfalls for the average consumer like myself.
PC:
- Modding (this is perhaps the largest perk to PC gaming for me.)
- Upgradeablity (You can upgrade as you get the cash.)
- Community (More bonds between groups of players & the potential for guilds/organizations in games like SC)
- Cheaper Games (on average)
- Developers who make PC games are really committed to the gaming experience. (Like the RSI guys for example… or the Warhorse guys… they just seem so enthusiastic.)
- Mouse and Keyboard allows for WAY more control customization.
Console:
- Portability (Its really plug and play.)
- Cheaper (although what it lacks in system costs is probably made up for in inflated game costs.)
- Popular Developer market (More people making more games for the system.)
- Better for social gatherings and parties. (PCs…are very personal machines. Consoles are a grab and go system.)
- IMO…a controller feels better than a mouse & keyboard.
The biggest problem for both sides is that they want to perceive themselves as being superior to the other. When in reality… they just serve different markets.
Ive have seen some of your posts and you are very consistent with them. Cheers!
I almost agree completely, but PC Gaming has the absolute largest library of games. I think Nerdcubed did a video, where he stacked the console exclusives up against each other and PC. Console exclusives tend to take the spotlight, because they are marketed as exclusives, and are supposed to be selling points. Furthermore, console exclusives are often very high-budget games, from huge publishers. But when it comes down to how many people make how many games for the different systems, PC is far ahead.
What do you mean?
Is it my opinion on certain matters? Or perhaps my staunch support for Falcons!?
