Xbox One X visuals - this can't be right

:man_facepalming:t3: Looks like I confused it with GTX1080Ti. Still it have less total RAM then recommended system RAM for PC.

Yes there are many other open world games but WH experimented with new unique technologies in KCD even Cloud Imperium Games was keen to acquire. For example if KCD too had simplistic clothing options like other open world RPGs it could have better performance and in turn it could have better looking graphics with acceptable frame rates.

Not really… game runs fine for me and many others.

Lemme guess you playing on a high spec PC? Or are you playing on a console Xbox/ps4 pro?

I’m on xb1x

Oh ok. And every thing is fine. Just asking cause I read afew posts here and on YouTube where players on both console have issues similar to the op

I honestly have had zero issues with any part of the game. in fact no that is a lie, i have had to reload once because i couldn’t find the bailiff but it turns out i just needed to wait for him and it was my fault.

Graphics look good to me, no freezing no controller issues.

If there is still a patch to come that will be a bonus if it improves the game further.

Cool. I gave in and bought it, but I have a ps4 pro. I can’t play cause the R1 button does not work for combat. The mega patch did not fix it either. I can bypass it by messing with the controller button configuration, but it become awkward. The main issue I have is the low textures on buildings not seeming to load and since yesterday I have experienced 2 crashes.

It’s not ugly by any means (maybe ps4 pro has slight advantage over regular ps4 so that why I’m not seeing it) I do feel that the game as a whole was optimized for PC and consoles were an after thought

I just have the normal Xbox 1 and I have yet to experience a single issue in the game. Sure textures could look better but honestly it’s still pretty good to me and is rather have the rest of the game work how it does than have it look prettier. Once you get into the game more you realize how detailed every other aspect of the game is and how much they tried to go for reality of actions over making it look pretty. I love every aspect so far

This is my experience. The storyline is the key thing i almost forget about gfx.

Lol like what? show us all these examples. The only games really comparable to this are Skyrim and the Witcher 3.

Ive been seeing this since the xbox 36o game out. Console players spend a couple hundred dollars on what’s equivalent to a mid range PC and whine when their game doesn’t look as good.

When the devs don’t make the effort to make it look good on consoles then i feel it’s justified to be disappointed.

Or maybe your console just can’t handle it? Running ultra at 60 fps on pc would most likely require a 1080 ti, i7 and 16 gigs of ram, no way xbox is up to scratch.

That’s pretty low-end. That’s less than mainstream.

vs

ahaha

Name of the game?

I’m willing to bet money it’s not open world, heavily scripted (if it is it’s much smaller than KC:D, and lacks the ai system, open buildings, and cities).

Really the only games that can be prepare to KC:D in the past ten years are the Witcher 3, and Skyrim. Neither of those have open cities, which absolutely tank performance.

That game is called Horizon Zero Dawn and is a openworld game for PS4

“Open world” what kind of open world we talking, because technically the Witcher 2 is open world. Also guarantee it has none of the advanced AI systems KC:D does, and it probably has loading screens at most entrances.

And not to mention as an exclusive it’s specifically designed and optimized to run on ps4 not a valid comparison.

I am not hating on this game and i am aware of the many background calculations (especially the AI) but the point is that the game is poorly optimized on all platforms even high end PC’s with gtx 108o’s. It feels like the game was rushed to release. Xbox players can’t even play the game until friday when the “day 1” patch releases.

I never accused you of that.

Well a few things to note, that seems to be specifically a 1080 issue. Game runs amazing for me (60 fps on high settings, 45 on very high, and 30-45 on ultra) , and my GPU is significantly weaker than the 1080, and most people ive spoken to on steam have agreed with this.

Secondly Witcher 3, and Skyrim had comparably bad launchers, in terms of performance and bugs (Skyrim is still buggy as hell to this day). A game this size is simply going to have problems on launch.

It was already pushed back twice before this so i don’t think that’s a valid thing to say. I’d honestly blame Sony and Microsoft since they make game devs ready their game for release and distribution three months prior to release, which is why it’s having so many issues on consoles, (three month old build).

Kent what does this mean?? Horizon had a budget of 45 million Sony published and a Sony collaboration veteran studio behind it. In other words full access to Sony . No having to get it working for anything other than PS4. Terrible example. Seriously bad.

I’m not defending anything here there are plenty of launch issues to use. But that’s just a bs argument that it is not horizon zero dawn.
